    15 Push-Ups a Day for a Month Challenge

    Push ups and I have a long and complicated love relationship. On the one hand, as someone who was a personal trainer and creates a power workout program for hundreds of clients, I know the benefits of push -ups well: they promote basic strength and stability, and they also work on the muscles of the chest and traces.     But despite all the proven benefits of push -ups, I never liked them. This is a dirty small secret of mine. I can do hundreds of pounds deadlift and squat, but my push -up game has never been strong (planned). And when my personal trainer recently planned a push -up program in my workout, I felt an unwanted: not only I disliked Pushups, I was really struggling with them, probably because I rarely do them these days.

    Therefore, I finally decided to adopt a basic approach to push -ups: dedicate myself to at least 30 days to dedicate 15 push ups a day.

    Benefits of Push Ups

    To help encourage myself, I reviewed all possible facilities sticking to push -up routine. Since push -ups simultaneously engage multiple muscles, they can be a powerful way to promote practical strength (alias movements and exercises that help facilitate daily movement). For example, lifting bags and gear can be easy, and your currency can improve.

    Included key muscles engaged during push -ups:

    • pectoralis Major and pectoralis minor (chest)
    • Deltides (shoulder)
    • Siratus previous, trippedis, and rotator cuffs (currency and shoulder support muscles)
    • Triosis (behind the upper arm)
    • Core Stabilizer (Pat, Pr. and Back)
    • Glutel (hip)

    Initial studies, even suggest that high push -up capacity can also offer some heart precision benefits (however, research included only men in research so that major studies are needed).

    It is difficult to ignore impressive strength, currency and overall fitness benefits, and I hope this will help me to focus on the challenge.

    How did my push -up challenge begin

    Before I started my 30 -day push -up challenge, I initially set a goal of 10 pushups a day. After slipping on it (and a pep talk reminds myself that I experience in power training), that number looked very small – so I brought my target to 15 consecutive representatives on my feet. Hey, I was hopeful. I did not necessarily make myself a picture of crushing 15 pushups easily, but I didn’t even think 15 was going to be a lot of challenges.

    However, on the first day of the challenge, I noticed that I was slightly more than my goal of completing 15 perfect push -ups in a strong, smooth set. Half the way to my representatives, I had to fall to my knees – and in this process, I hurt my ego.

    Although I was a bit of a discourse, I remained intact. And finally, I noticed that modifying the movement and maintaining the appropriate shape is much better than moving forward with a bad shape, especially when it comes to low health.     How to edit the push -ups

    According to Felicia Bonno, a sweat yoga instructor, here is the way to maintain a good form while making push -ups on your knees.

    Another problem that I initially raised was that I would delay my push -ups every day. The most sensible thing would be to do them first in the morning and remove it from the way, but I found myself pushing up at 10pm because I left them all day. If you tell the truth, most of the days, I thought about leaving them completely. Who knows even? No one It was my personal challenge.

    Retrieve my push -up power

    But somehow after the first week, I took my mentality back to the track. I found some new commitment and got up every morning and completed my push -ups as part of my usual. If I was doing to get serious about being pusups, I had to commit all my heart and give it everything.

    A few days after successfully knocking my push -ups in the morning, I noticed. But even more, my muscle memory was kicking, and all the pushups were getting easier. For half a way of experience, I no longer need to leave my knees. Those last five push ups were still tough, and I certainly had to stop on the upper part of the movement and to take myself a plaque position for a few seconds to give myself a breath-but I was passing through them.

    For 30 days of the challenge, I couldn’t believe how quickly the month was flying. But even more importantly, I couldn’t believe that completing my 15 -push -ups daily feels easier than the first day. I really felt like I’m at the point where I could probably start to join something else – and it is far -fetched how I felt in the first few days of the challenge.

    What I learned from my push -up challenge

    When I first started this challenge, I imagined myself for 30 days, celebrating that I made it, and immediately abandoned push -ups daily. But now that I have reached the end, I’m really excited to continue to work on my practical power, which is in everyday life. Whether it is taking all my groceries home or picking up heavy boxes, helping to stop practical power injuries and create strong bones, which becomes even more important than your age. And if more push -ups mean that I can live free of pain freely and longer? Sign me up

    Although I am much better at push -ups than I started, I’m not even close to being one of the people who can compete with 50 to 100 pushups a day. And if I am completely honest, I don’t think I am also wanting. However, I continue to add push -ups three or four days a week as I want to continue my progress. Who knows, maybe I will really turn the love relationship with push -ups into a love relationship.
