You may not be familiar with the fairport, a natural town above New York has called “the crown of the Ari Canal”. It’s not in West Chester or Hudson Valley, and it is about 350 350 miles north of Manhattan. According to Redfin, but those who know and love it, were not surprised when it was declared the fourth hottest neighbor in the United States, according to Redphin. I like it so much, I bought my first (and possibly forever) at the village of Fairport.
I have called many palaces home over the years. And with every move, I learned that I was the most important: the ability to walk and the sense of society was non -dialogue, which causes me to re -discover a suburbs, which I grew up with just 20 minutes.

Of course I miss living in a large metro. Entertainment, culture and food from all over the world are unparalleled. But in these cities, my pleasant moments were also the easiest: playing with my dog in the park, meeting friends on coffee walk, looking for flea markets. Why can’t I copy these experiences in my new zip code? I imagined moving around the local library, piccing under the gizbo, and pedaling a cake with the canal. Now, those dreams are a reality. Everything is a step by the front door of the Fairport.
The summer began with the Fairport Canal Desk, one of the most famous festivals of the Arts in the state of New York. The weekend celebrations include local craftsmen, modern food trucks, live performances, and a snack rubber duck charity races placed on the Ari Canal. For about 5,000 5,000 villages, I am surprised by the annual events decorated line -up, including the Fairport Music Festival and Oactobarfest.

Cafe, restaurants, and current publishers Street, which make the Fairport a destination for young families and singles. Looking for a sweet invitation? Three ice cream shops are throwing stones from each other (moonlight’s creamy never misses). Thirsty? For its award -winning bourbon, a favorite of a fans, like iron smoke, target many of the number of wine bars, bribes and dustillers. Planning of the Night of Date? Book a reservation in Bonnie & Clay, an advanced restaurant and cocktail bar that opened in a 1928 bank earlier this year.
Yes, you may be eating your way through the city, but staying dynamic is also a part of the Fairport lifestyle. You can drive a motorcycle with a beautiful toupe, hit the floor in the skate park, or travel at a distance of miles. Like every other thousand -year -old, I have considered taking pickle hair, and is sure that the Fairport is the home of the newly modern indoor courts. But right now you will see me walking everywhere – tour boats, trains and historical village halls, which makes me feel like I am in an event Glamor girls.
My ideal day in the village has spent a small purchase. In addition to the weekly farmers’ market, Lombardi’s excellent food and the Red Bird Market are great to store special goods. Another chapter bookstore is responsible for my never -ending list. And I like to use quirky antiquities and one other types of items on boutiques such as Main Street Mercantile and Dian Prince Furniture and Gifts. Need a color yarn rating? There is a shop for it. Looking for handmade soap? There is also a shop for it.
Every season in the fairport has its own attention. The canalway is stirred in the summer months, and the elevator is featured in the bridge Believe or not Makes for an excellent location. In autumn, community snack scarcoser creations write on the sidewalks. And during the holidays, including trees and gizbo, festive lights stand everywhere, illuminating fresh fallen snow.
Above all, the people are the reason I chose to make life here. It is as if there is an unclear competition between residents to see who can say hello to see who can say hello. Even Jimmy Fallon, who frequently offers the Fairport around St. Patrick Day, has said, “I love the people here. It is very fun.” I could not be more pleased.
