In a speech last month at the ITF World Conference in Belgium, Jonny Surgei, senior vice president of Apple’s hardware technologies, said that one of the important lessons learned was that it needed to use the most advanced tools available to design its chips, citing a video of Thursday.

“EDA (electronic design automation) companies are very important in supporting the complications of our chip design,” said Saro Ji. “Generative AI techniques have more ability to get maximum design work in less time, and it can greatly enhance the production capacity.”

The report states that the industry’s largest electronic design automation firm, the cidens design system and summary, are also keen to add AI to their offerings.

In his speech, Saroji presented the development of custom chips, from Apple’s early iPhone processors to recent chips, which is the headset of reality that is promoted to McKetop Computers and its Vision Pro.

    Apple is already using AI

Surgei’s comments show that Apple wants to start using AI for the first time to make its engineering teams faster to design chips. However, the Applencer has reported that Apple has been using AI in its designs for some years in some of the capabilities.

Third -party companies take advantage of AI

For years, Apple has relied on third -party EDA companies, which is already taking advantage of AI and machine learning in chip design.

It further states that Synopsys say that the use of Jingero AI can help create new ways to design chips, which Apple relies on.

    Microsoft job reduction

Meanwhile, Reuters reports that the software microsoft is planning to reduce thousands of jobs, especially sales, as the firm pushes its manpower between the growing attention and investment in AI.

The company has accelerated investment in AI, which aims to stay with its rivals in the high -speed industry, which is now looking at the integration of AI’s products and services.

This week, Amazon CEO Andy Jessi said the roles of Generative AI and Agent AI will reduce their corporate workforce in the next few years.
