The US Department of Justice has said on Friday that it has filed a lawsuit against California to eliminate the implementation of state emission standards for trucks.
The DOJ said it lodged two complaints in the federal courts about the implementation of state emission standards through the state’s heavy duty truck and engine manufacturers against the California Air Resource Board this week through the so -called “clean truck contribution”.
“These steps advance President Donald J. Trump’s commitment to eliminate the Electric Vehicle (EV) mandate, equalize the regulatory playground and promote consumer selection in motor vehicles,” he said in a statement.
