We cover a reasonable quantity of Texas whiskey here, and for good reason – one of the many that is capable of eliminating ink. But a dustlery that permanently offers something best in the state is still Austin, which is a small operation in the capital city that makes bourbon and rye, as well as bonds in some wonderful bottle. Only last week, yet Austin announced the release of a bottle of 2025 in Bourbon Whiskey, and it is the oldest whiskey that this distillery has ever released.
The honor of this high -age statement had previously gone into the bottle of Austin in Red Corn Bourbon, which was about six years old. But after seven years of maturity, the new fall 2025 bourbon now takes the crown, which is important for some reasons. First of all, it is always a good opportunity when a small distalry in this age is actually whiskey for the bottle, it remains as a bond expression with the bottle (quick reminder-it means that whiskey is at least four years old, absolutely 100 proofs, and a weather and a weather). Many small distalries either have their whiskey in the small barrels, which give it green, wood, ignorant flavors, or leave whiskey with the same results at a young age – and sometimes they both do.
It is still not a case of Austin, located in an industrial park in the city. Mashi Bill has a significant amount of rye. Particularly 70 % of white corn, 25 % rye, and five percent malted, the same prescription used for its flagship bourbon, used for musician. It provides a good hit of the spice to balance the hereditary sweetness of the bourbon, and layers and complicated with palate maple, brown sugar, vanilla kheer, banana bread, ripe beer, tobacco and tank oak notes. Overall, it is another excellent bottle bond bourbon that can stand with the best of legacy distalries.
The bond series still has a special label of each bottle designed by the artist Mark Brakardt, like other seasonal releases in Austin bottle, the same person who designed the label of core portfolio. In terms of the release of the fall 2025, this is a picture of the golden stallion, which has some falling imagery. Bottles are still available in Austin’s 2025 band straight bourbon, now available in the tasting room (SRP $ 80), and you can get other impressions from the core portfolio, which are also very good, which are available on websites like reserves.
