Spotify has exploded in popularity since it first launched in 2016, making annual appearances on social media feeds everywhere, prompting music-powered rivals like Apple and Amazon to create their own versions.
Now, Spotify is rolling out Listener Stats, a new feature that offers a shareable weekly snapshot of what you’ve been listening to over the past month. It’s available to both free and premium Spotify users, so you won’t need more than $11.99 a month to access it.
The new tool will show your top artists and songs from the last four weeks, as well as a new playlist inspired by what you’re listening to, along with new track suggestions. Listening statistics will also provide what Spotify calls “special highlights” that “make your listening unique,” for example, when you’ve discovered a new song.
You’ll be able to share your stats directly with apps like Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp, as well as with friends who have the Spotify app.
To try out the feature, tap your profile image and select Listening Stats. Tap Share to post your weekly stats or individual highlights to your social media feed.
Apple Music recovered similar monthly listens last year.

Last year’s Spotify wrapped up (what else?) Google’s Notebook LM with AI integration, which allowed you to create AI-infused podcasts based on your year in music, with artificial hosts discussing your picks. However, this did not impress many people.
In September, Spotify added the ability to search for and play specific songs instead of forcing users to head directly to free shuffle playlists or albums, though users were limited to one song at a time before the app changed. In October, users gained the ability to easily block songs they hate, permanently preventing them from showing up in their playlists.
