Every year the Game Awards sees its fair share of viral moments, but none have lasted as long over the years as Orchestra member Pedro Eustace—known as “The Flute Guy.” Fittingly, Flute Boy got his moment in the spotlight once again this year, showing off his strangest flute yet again.
Ever since he went viral for enthusiastically playing the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 medley on a strange-looking tenor flute in 2022, Eustace has been a regular feature of the Game Awards. Every year he seems to get more dedicated airtime during the orchestral section, and plays a bigger and more unusual flute.

2025, of course. , is no different, with Eustace even getting his own announcement video on the Game Awards social media pages for the show. His appearance in the orchestral section did not disappoint, his flute part was highlighted by 2 arrangements of Death Stress, and his part in the Clear Observer section was played on a strange flute that appeared to be made of PVC pipe.
Flute Guy, and the entire orchestral mix, added some much-needed drama to one of the most vivid games of the year the Game Awards saw. Clear Obscur: The Campaign became the most awarded game in the history of the 33 awards show when it picked up nine awards, including Game of the Year. It previously held the record for most nominated games, receiving 13 total nominations. Clear Ozer has also been revealed as GameSpot’s Game of the Year for 2025.
