Digimon fans don’t have to wait long to see the non-lifted versions of the first three 2000 films in English for the first time. Discotek Media’s Digimon Movies 4-6 Collection releases on December 30. Amazon and Crunchyroll have seen a second advance price cut. The $30 Blu-ray collection is now available for pre-order for just $20.
Collection 4-6 is the follow-up to Discotek Media’s popular Digimon Movies 1-3 collection, which was released last December. The first collection is currently out of stock everywhere, so if you’re interested in seeing the new collection at launch, it would be wise to pre-order.

The Digimon: The Movie 4-6 collection includes the following movies with both English dubs and original Japanese audio subtitles:
- Diboromon’s Revenge (2001)
- Adventure War (2001)
- Runaway Locmon (2002)
Although referred to as “films”, these are not feature-length films. Diaboromon’s Revenge is 29 minutes long and is set during the Digimon Adventure 02 timeline. Fighting Adventures released in the same year and has a runtime of 50 minutes. It was the first film in the third Digimon series, the Digimon Tamers timeline, and revolves around a virus that causes Digimon to enter the real world. Runaway Lokomon, a 30-minute short film, was released in 2002 and takes place after the season finale of Digimon Tamers.
The total runtime in this collection is 2 hours and 9 minutes. The runtime is 10 minutes longer than the original because these are the undubbed versions that were restored from the English boxes by Discotek. The above runtimes correspond to the original release, not the deprecated version.

Digimon: The Movies 1-3 Collection was released on Blu-ray last December and went on sale for just $18 ($30) for Black Friday. This deal led to it being sold at all retailers. Crunchyroll is letting customers place orders for $24, but the Blu-ray is currently on backorder with an undetermined shipping date.

Parts of these three films were bumped together to create Digimon: The Movie (2000), the first feature-length theatrical release for the franchise.
Discotek restored the undubbed versions of all three short films with a new English dub. The runtime for the collection is 2 hours and 9 minutes, which is over 40 minutes longer than the 88-minute feature film.
The Blu-ray collection also comes with Digimon: The Movie’s original dubbed version, so fans can watch the story as they did in theaters as kids.
Discotech Media has consistently brought classic Digimon anime to Blu-ray over the past few years. Both Digimon Adventure and Digimon Adventure 02 are available on Blu-ray with English boxed versions and subtitles alongside the original Japanese. Unlike the film collections, though, there are separate English and Japanese editions. At the moment, all four are in stock at Amazon, though only Digimon Adventure 02 in Japanese is missing below the MSRP.
Shout Factory has handled the Blu-ray releases for the six Digimon Tree movies, which are currently bundled into a 6-movie collection priced at $78—a great price. We wouldn’t recommend buying it until the price hits around $50.
Shoot Factory also released Blu-ray versions for the last two films, and both are still more reasonably priced. Digimon Adventure: The Final Evolution Kizuna (2020) is available for $18, and Digimon Adventure 02: The Beginning (2023). is 16.90.

Digimon on DVD
Many seasons of the Digimon TV series have yet to be released on Blu-ray and are often hard to find on DVD as well. You can find some Digimon seasons for reasonable prices from sellers, including the first part of Digimon Fusion and Digimon Tamers. There is also a DVD box set with Digimon Adventure, Digimon Adventure 02, Tamers, and Frontier, although it has mixed reviews.
Digimon fans can also pick up the fantastic new RPG developed by Media Vision and published by Bandai Namco in October. Amazon has Digimon Storytime Aliens on sale for PS5 for $50. This deal matches the Monster Taming Adventure’s Black Friday price. PC and Steam Deck players can get the Standard Edition as a Steam key for $49 ($70) from Fanatic. Fanatic also has 30% off on Deluxe and Ultimate editions.
