It’s not an easy life for the citizens of Sanctuary in Diablo 4, but players can make things a little brighter in the upcoming holiday event Goblin Lure. Starting December 18th, players will have to place gifts under their tree—so to speak—by clubbing creatures to loot and bring a little hope back to Estor.
To claim their rewards, players must face hordes of Treasure Goblins and earn their place on the March of Goblins reputation board. There are multiple levels to unlock, and players can claim their rewards between each one by visiting Goblin Square in Kevashad. Once the players complete the last level, they will be given a great spark. This final level is repetitive, and the quality of loot dropped by enemies will increase with each level. However, players will only have until January 6, 2026 to work their way up and claim as much treasure as possible.
Returning a serious favor during Goblin’s Lure will also earn players an extra cash for the tree gift. All they need to do to claim it is to choose a cache, which will reveal the treasure from the tree gift.
Additionally, a handful of free holiday items will appear on the in-game store on specific dates:
- December 18: Tackle Snooze (Mount Trophy) first
- December 19: Philo Ward (Mount Trophy)
- December 20: First Snow Rogue (Mount Armor)
As with the rest of the treasure, those items will expire after January 6.
Outside of the game, pre-orders for next year’s Lord of the Abominations expansion, Diablo 4: The Lost Hordrum, are now available for pre-order. The prequel to the expansion itself gives players early access to Plaudits, one of the newest classes in the game. The expansion is also bringing back fan-favorite villain, Lilith.
