
High Guard players have shared the desire for expanded matchups, and the game’s developer, Wildlight, has listened. Starting today and running through the weekend, HighGuard is rolling out an “experimental” five-on-five playlist. It’s not meant as a replacement for the game’s three-on-three raids, but it could potentially become a full-time part of the game.
According to Wildlight’s announcement, players will have 10 lives in 5v5 raids instead of the standard six. Respawns during raids will also take slightly longer to allow more time for generator bombs to detonate or defuse. Wildlight has warned players that while the current patch has improved some optimizations, performance in 5v5 raids is not improving.
The dev team also notes that the firing range does not yet support 5v5, which is why the play button will be grayed out when there are more than three parties.
