Willis, a WTW business, has announced its return to the light and recreational general aviation market after a 30-year absence, marking a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing commitment to providing industry-leading insurance solutions.
The move is enabled by Willis’ acquisition of Crispin Spears’ general aviation team.
With this expansion, Willis offers a fully comprehensive range of insurance solutions tailored to the unique needs of light and recreational general aviation operators, including microlights, balloons, gliders, commercial drones, as well as light fixed-wing aircraft.
In addition, Willis is now ready to offer commercial insurance solutions for non-aircraft risk exposures, leveraging its extensive network of expertise.
The arrival of the Crispin Spears team introduced established, turnkey services, allowing quick and efficient handling of a large volume of business offerings with the help of technology.
“Our re-entry into the light and leisure general aviation sector closes a long-standing gap in the Willis portfolio, enabling the delivery of the AZ suite of insurance solutions,” commented John Rowley, head of global aviation and space at Willis. “Clients can now benefit from a seamless, one-stop approach to all their aviation insurance requirements, backed by Willis’ global reach and reputation for reliability.”
