
Capcom has announced that its plan for the Capcom Cup Finals and Street Fighter League World Championship has been reworked as a $40 pay-per-view to include a cheaper price and a free-to-view option after Street Fighter 6 fans responded.
Prior to this year, the Capcom Cup Finals and the Street Fighter League World Championship were free-to-view events. However, Capcom’s decision to move the event to pay-per-view sparked an angry reaction from fans. Given this backlash, Capcom backed off.
Capcom’s eSports business department manager Tetsuya Tabuchi announced on X (via GamesRadar ) that the pay-per-view price is now $10. Players who own Street Fighter 6 will also be able to stream the Capcom Cup Finals and the Street Fighter League World Championship in-game. But the free option will not include pay-per-view commentary.
