Rihanna was spotted jetting out of Los Angeles on March 9, hours after a woman was arrested and charged with attempted murder for allegedly firing multiple gunshots at the $14 million Beverly Hills mansion the singer shares with her partner, A$AP Rocky, and their three kids.
Images obtained by TMZ show the chart-topper, 38, heading to the Van Nuys airport before taking off in a small private jet. It’s unclear whether the “Breakin’ Dishes” hitmaker had previous travel plans or if she made the decision to leave L.A. as a result of the incident at her home.
The Los Angeles Police Department has confirmed that Rihanna was present inside the dwelling when the incident took place at around 1:20 p.m. on March 8. Between five and seven shots were fired by an “AR-15-style rifle,” according to CNN.
The woman, who is in her 30s and has been identified as Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, allegedly directed her shots at the house. However, all of them hit the 38-year-old singer’s gate, rather than the property itself. Ortiz is being held on a $10.2 million bail.
Law enforcement confirmed that there were no injuries, noting that Rihanna, whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, was in the home with multiple other people at the time of the shooting.

The “SOS” singer shares three children with her partner: sons RZA Athelston Mayers, 3, and Riot Rose Mayers, 4, and a daughter named Rocki Irish Mayers, who was born in September. It’s unclear whether the kids were present with their mother when the incident occurred.
Photos show several bags being loaded into a convoy of vehicles outside of Rihanna and A$AP’s home, before the cars were driven to the airport. It’s not known whether the rapper accompanied his partner on the trip, nor is it immediately clear whether their three children were on the plane.
The LAPD told Fox News that officers initially responded to a “ADW (assault with a deadly weapon) shots fired,” noting that their audio dispatch described the incident as “10 shots” fired from “across the street.”
The dispatch also alerted officers to be on the lookout for a woman driving a white Tesla with paper license plates.
The suspect was “taken into custody without further incident,” an LAPD spokesperson told Fox News.
According to the Daily Mail, Ortiz made threats to Rihanna in the days leading up to the shooting. The outlet also revealed that Ortiz had previously been arrested on domestic violence, careless driving, and violating pretrial release conditions in Florida.
Meanwhile, a source told the New York Post that the couple “doesn’t know much.” They noted that A$AP was not home at the time.
Rihanna and A$AP have been living at the Beverly Hills property since 2020, when they purchased it for $13.8 million. It is believed to have served as their primary residence.
The 7,600-square-foot mansion boasts five bedrooms and is near the Beverly Hills Hotel and Sunset Boulevard.
It features an open floor plan with French oak flooring, a chef’s kitchen, a cocktail bar, and formal living and family rooms. The primary bedroom has sensational views and a spa bathroom that opens to a private outdoor area.

The house was built in 1938 and has been modernized over the years. It now offers a contemporary design combined with traditional style.
A$AP previously owned another $4 million home nearby, which he bought in 2015. That house was the site of an April 2022 raid carried out by police investigating shooting allegations being levied against him.
During the trial, the jury was shown images taken during the raid, with video footage revealing that officers used a battering ram to gain access to the gated dwelling, which is located on a leafy street lined with luxury properties.
Police removed multiple boxes of evidence from the home as well as several guns, which did not match the one used in the shooting, according to TMZ, which later published images of several U-Haul trucks leaving the home.
The house was sold for $3.95 million months before Rihanna gave birth to their third child.
The 6,506-square-foot property featured five bedrooms and five bathrooms.
The couple’s impressive property portfolio includes several other homes.
In summer 2020, the singer forked over $415,000 a month for a rental in the Hamptons. She resided in the 6,140-square-foot property from July to August.
The home boasts five bedrooms and six bathrooms.
It features an open floor plan and is tucked away behind lush greenery. The property also offers stunning views.
To add to its A-lister status, the property is also the spot where Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian filmed their 2014 reality TV show.
The singer opted to splash out $25,000 a week on a 19th-century house in London in 2018.

The 6,332-square-foot rental had eight bedrooms, a gym, a home theater, and a 10-car garage.
Inside, the home boasted mirror-lined ceilings, black parquet floors, and a music room with a bar adorned in Swarovski crystals.
In 2020, the home was listed for $40.94 million.
Rihanna also briefly tested out life in the Big Apple. She rented a high-flying Manhattan penthouse apartment in 2013 for a head-spinning $39,000 a month. She dropped the pad in 2017, when the rent soared to $50,000 a month. At that point, the place came on the market for a whopping $17 million.
Spanning the top two floors of the building, the 7,000-square-foot unit includes a 2,400-square-foot wraparound terrace.
The top floor is accessible by a key-locked elevator. It opens to the living room, which features oversized windows, a 13-foot-high-ceiling, concrete flooring, and a wood-burning fireplace.
The open layout includes a chef’s kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances. There’s a steel-and-wood floating staircase, media alcove, dry bar, and a powder room off the kitchen.
The outdoor terrace delivers gorgeous views of the city and makes a perfect perch for hosting parties.
There are three full bathrooms and four bedrooms, including the primary suite with a dressing room and walk-in closet.
While the digs are certainly worthy of a rock star, the home seems to have struggled to find a buyer. After coming on and off the market over the years, with a drop in the price tag of about $1 million in 2020, it has been taken off the market.
