Epic Games says the cost of running Fortnite has risen enough to make price changes for its in-game currency. The most basic V-Bucks package will soon earn you 20% less in-game currency than before.

    https://www.tiqets.com/en/new-york-new-york-hotel-casino-tickets-l235895/?partner=travelpayouts.com&tq_campaign=bc55a31e7f434e4ab93246c49-615741

Fortnite normally costs $8.99 for 1,000 V-Bucks, but it’s moving to 800 V-Bucks for the same price starting March 19. The brand is giving players more than a week to get used to the new system, and Epic Games says it’s making the change to “help pay the bills.”

Dealing is not a problem when buying large amounts of currency. $22.99 will soon net you 2,400 V-Bucks, down from the current 2,800, a reduction of about 14%. If you choose to pay $36.99, you’ll soon get 10% less bang for your buck at 4,500 V-Bucks instead of 5,000.

The best deal is the brand’s top-of-the-line, most expensive package, priced at $89.99. That’s a 7% difference, you’re getting 12,500 V-Bucks compared to the previous amount of 13,500. Epic Games continues to offer 20% of your purchases back into Epic Rewards, which you can spend on Fortnite or other games like Fall Guys or Rocket League.

With the amount of currency you get, Epic Games is lowering the price of its season pass to match the $8.99 payment. Competing in the Season Pass will now cost 800 V-Bucks, down from 1,000 before, and you’ll get 800 V-Bucks if you complete all the challenges.

However, the brand is also ending its V-Bucks bonus rewards, which previously came with the Season Pass. Players were able to earn up to 500 extra in-game currency by completing tasks, allowing you to recycle your original 800 V-Bucks into the next Season Pass and spend the extra on more cosmetics. Now, you have to use real money to buy additional items.

Epic Games also increased the value of V-Bucks in 2023 along with the developer holiday. This saw the price of V-Bucks change, moving from $7 to $8.99 for 1,000 in-game currency.
