People’s Tricks: Marsh promotes Barnes as World Head of Energy and Power, Herring as a team chair
MarshMarsh McLean’s Insurance Brokerage Business announces his appointment Ammy Barnes As a global head for energy and power, quickly effective.
London -based, Barnes will succeed and report Andrew GeorgePresident of Marsh Speciality.

In this role, Barnes has the overall responsibility of driving strategies and innovation for the global network of marsh energy and electricity advisers, risk engineers, and brokers that help clients understand, correct their quantities and add to the risk. She also maintains her current responsibilities as the head of Marsh, the strategy for sustainability and climate change.
Barnes joined Marsh in 2001 as an environmental adviser, and in particular, in relation to energy transfer and stability, several senior international leadership positions, which have a limit to risk and insurance issues. Before its current role, Barnes served as the American and Canada Energy and Power Leader and was based in Houston.
Marsh also announced the appointment Andrew Herring Effective from January 1, 2026, as the World Energy and Power World Chair. Herring joined Marsh in 2010 and led the UK’s Energy and Power Team since 2012. He will be based in London.
