I have recently spent a lot of time using Samsung’s Galaxy S25 ultra, a high -end version of Samsung’s latest flagship line. The phone is full of a lot of positives, but what stands in front of me is the features of AI. Not only are they often simple and helpful, but Samsung has managed to add these additions to the old galaxy.
Like the previous year Galaxy S 24 UltraS25 Ultra, mainly features at every high -end, which you can think about, including S pen stylus, Galaxy Note a Holder for years. Screen-6.9-inch Amold Display (3,120 by 1,440 pixels)-This is slightly larger than last year, though the handset is overall. 6.40 by 3.11 by 0.34 inches (HWD) and 7.69 ounces, S25 ultra is still a huge phone, but it is slightly thinner and light from the S24 ultra.
The new model also has titanium frames and more round corners, which I like more than a very square corners of the previous. The Core Glass was also re -considered: This is now the Corning Gorlala Armer 2, which Samsung says is better than resisting the fracture. The phone can also resist the quick dip: Like other premium phones, it also has an IP68 rating, which means, in theory, it can handle about 5 feet in water for about 30 minutes.

Eliminating its exterior tour, the S25 provides a volume key and power button on the right with the microphone in the upper part of the phone. The bottom of the phone is a dock for S pen stylus (then more) with a speaker, a USB-C port for the charger, and a SIM card tray. Like most existing phones, it lacks extension storage or headphones jack, I like these features but do not expect these days.
Under the hood, the processor has been upgraded to the Snapdragon 8 Elite of Qualcomm for Galaxy, which is better to support the features of AI. In PCMAG tests, the phone easily defeated others in the benchmark, though the iPhone 15 Pro Max improved the single -core performance.
Mounting on the battery, the S25 ultra has a 5,000 mAh unit capable of charging 45W through a cable or 15W wireless, like S24 ultra. In the PCMAG tests, it continued until one of the S24 ultra; This pixel was particularly better than the 9 Pro XL, but the iPhone 16 Pro Max was not as good. Samsung continues to set up on the default screen FHD+ (2,340 by 1,080 pixels) to preserve battery life.
If the rest of the hardware is concerned, the S25 ultra follows its predecessor, which has integrated S pen stylus that sinks at the bottom of the unit. I know people who have been fans of Satelli in phones returning in the early days of the Galaxy Note, and the S25 ultra is the first choice in this field. New pen is good for sketching or taking notes. It does not seem that it has changed a lot from the previous version, except for an antagonist: the device does not support Bluetooth, which has enabled “air action” tasks like a camera remote control. But as far as I am concerned, this is a relatively minor feature.

Last year’s model has not changed the camera setup. The main camera is 200 megapixel (MP) camera sensor with F/1.7, optical image stabilization, and an 85 degree field aperture. In this setup, Samsung is also called “Include Pixel”, which supports several layers of bining. In most cases, when you use the main camera, the system will add 16 pixels to one, which will produce a 12 MP image. In Pro mode, you can turn 50 MP photo grip, where four pixels are mixed in one. If you download the expert raw control, you can also compose it for 24MP or 200MP images, which seems to be too much storage. My guess is that almost every person will be happy with the 12MP option.
Like S24 Ultra, S25 Ultra contains 50 megapixel F/3.4 telephoto camera with OIS, 5X optical zoom, and 22 degrees field. On the back, you will find a 10 -megapixel F/2.4 telephoto camera that has OIS, 3X optical zoom, and 36 degrees. Like last year, here is a 12 megapixel F/2.2 front -fishing camera with an 80 degree field of view. He also did a good job.
The S25 Ultra has a 50 -megapixel F/1.9 of the ultra -wide camera, which has a 120 degree Field of View, which is a significant improvement compared to the 124 megapixel ultra -wide camera of the S24 ultra. Not only do you get high resolution shots, but also get a high resolution macro mode for detailed close ups that look good quite good.
Generally, I have found high -end galaxy phones to take terrific pictures, and the S25 ultra is not exempt. I have found very detailed photos with good colors, though Samsung images are sometimes more saturated than other phones.
In the zoom

Zoom is an area where I have always praised the Top of the Line Galaxy phones, and the S25 is not exempt. When you zoom an image, you can easily increase the zoom by lifting a preset or moving your fingers easily. Samsung also holds 100x “space zoom” that connects optical and digital zoom. At this level, the images are not always as clear as you want, but I am very impressed with the photos up to 30x.

Of course, the S25 offers a variety of video capture options by 8k30. Generally, the video looked good enough, though the quality of image stability may vary, especially if you are zooming.

This year’s major change is to include a lot of AI features, which is group under the title of Galaxy AI. Changes starting with the user interface: Samsung has re -designed one of his UI 7 in the upper part of Android 15 to take advantage of AI options. –

Like Google Pixel phones, you get the power button, then talk or type Google Gemini A. It seems that Gemini is doing better every month and does a good job in answering requests, such as changing a setting. (Samsung’s own assistant, Buckby, still included on the phone Arack Practically, I rarely saw it.)
A good new feature is the “cross -app action”, which allows you to ask Gemini AI to handle jobs that take numerous steps and use numerous applications. For example, you can ask Gemini Ai to see something on the web and then email or message someone results.
In other tasks, Gemini AI offers a browsing assist that summarizes or translates web pages, a call Assist that offers real -time translation during sound calls (though I was not able to test it), and a note that helps you manage your notes (abstract and summarized). Sometimes I have helped these assistants, sometimes less, but they have definitely made a long journey in the last year.

Another new feature is the “now briefing” widget, which appears as default on the home screen and suggests things that you think you want, such as weather, basic news, and wake -up routine. It looks like it works well, but I can’t say that I have considered it so important.
As S24, S25 supports “Circle Two Search”, through which you can identify text and photos on the screen.
Photos, a feature of photo assist allows you to edit or re -imagine the images by moving or removing people and items, or restoring your images. Inside the Samsung gallery app, now you can erase things you don’t want, just as you have been able to clean the magic in Google Photos for a while, and it has done a great job.

New photo options do not end there: you can also sketch an item to add to an image, while a portrait studio will apply this style such as comic, 3D image, water color, or sketch (see pictures above). Different effects are fun, but I suspect business users will get more practical use than editing tools. And although we have all seen the AI-Assisted drawing tools before, Samsung has connected them very well.
For videos, in addition to the usual modification features, there is a new audio eraser that allows you to eliminate or minimize engagement noise such as crowded sounds or air. This did not work for me at all, but on the noise videos, the results were definitely improved. I can imagine that they are quite useful for some business tasks as well as personal photos and videos.
I still see the features of AI as a work, and they come with an umbrella warning for Generative AI: You should check the accuracy of any importance of the system twice. But overall, the Galaxy AI has made a long journey, and the S25 ultra really impressed me with the breadth and quality of its features.
The S25 Ultra list price is 2 1,299.99, so it is clearly targeted at the highest end of the market. Samsung offers small versions with similar features in $ 799.99 S25 and 9999.99 S25+, but these models have a lack of S pen and 200 megapixel main camera.
If you want an Android phone that does everything.
