People travel for all kinds of reasons. But according to a new study by Travel Planning website Trip.com, many people travel to the theme parks: the theme.
Trap.com recently released 2025 Global 100, an annual list where it has the status of things like hotels, attractive locations and restaurants on the planet. To determine its rating, trip.com combined through data through factors such as confirmed user rating, reviews, and booking stats as well as popularity, destination reputation, and service standards.
But one of the most interesting (and probably surprisingly) things about this report is that the theme parks dominate in high global attractions.
The 2025 Global 100 Rankings included the top 10 attractions were the theme parks. California found in heavy -hitting cultural institutions like Walt Disney World Resort, Universal Studios, Japan, Shanghai Disney Resort, and Disneyland, Palace Museum in Beijing, Louver, La Sigrada Family, and Vatican. According to Trap.com, these were the top 10 attractions in the world:
- Lower Museum
- Walt Disney World Resort
- Palace Museum
- Disneyland Park California
- La Sigrada Familia
- Shanghai Disney Resort
- Universal Orlando Resort
- The Vatican Museum
- Universal Studios Japan
- Universal Beijing Resort
And, if you take a step forward and see the top 30 of the list, it has three more themes Parks (Disneyland Paris, Universal Studios Hollywood, and Hong Kong Disneyland), with 13 overall compounds in total.
In their next international adventure, those who want to visit the theme park have only more options in the coming years. Both Disney and Universal are planning to improve and extend existing parks, and the Universal has recently announced that it will open its first European park outside London in 2031.
