Jeep may be primarily an American brand, but his presence in recent decades has gone beyond the US borders. Priority to Europe for the launch of a new model describes volumes about how Stelontees is betting international markets to reduce dependence on North America. The third generation compass will affect European countries early this year before spreading to other regions.
Despite its evolutionary external style, the new compass is very different from its predecessor. Electric and hybrid power

The 2026 compass receives light hybrids, plugins hybrids, and fully electrical driving for the European market. Base Model will work with 145 horsepower from an uncontrollable petrol engine equipped with 48 volt -tech. The plugin hybrid will pack 195 HP, while all three will be 375 HP for the front wheel drive model for the front wheel drive model for the front wheel drive model. The latter features a newly developed rear motor for the jeep, which enables the crossover to climb 20 % slopes, even when the front tires have zero grip.
The Jeep refers to a maximum driving range of 404 miles (650 km) on the WLTP cycle for a dual motor, AWD model, but does not mention the battery capacity. We know that the Front Wheel Drive with 74.0 KW pack, single motor will cover 311 miles (500 km) on a different charge.
Engineers selected a completely flat under body, aero -optimized wheels, and active grill shutters in the front bumper to target these range numbers. When you are running less than the juice, using 160 kW DC fast charging will take half an hour to fill the battery from 20 to 80 percent.

When can we buy it?

The Jeep is already taking orders for a new compass in Europe, where it is selling the first edition for a limited time. After production begins at the Italian Melphi plant, supply will start to consumers in the fourth quarter of the year. The company is putting a nail in the coffin of the diesel engine by deciding against crossover with oil burner, which had more than 50 % market share in Europe in the early decade.
There is no word on the US version yet, which will be expected next year, possibly as 2027my. It is understood that the US -binding model is coming from the Brampton Assembly plant in Ontario.
