Less than a month before the hurricane season, the acting administrator of the Federal Emergency Management Agency has been fired.
A spokesman with FEMA did not provide any reason for the dismissal, but confirmed that he had removed Cameron Hamilton from the post after President Donald Trump was appointed by President Donald Trump.
The spokesman said that David Richardson is now a FEMA administrator.

Richardson has been Assistant Secretary of the Homeland Security Department for a massive destructive office since January. According to the DHS, he earlier served as an American Marine Corps Ground Combat Officer.
Hamilton’s firing was first reported by Politico, who said Homeland Security Secretary Troy Edgar and Trump’s adviser Corey Livendosky fired Hamilton at the Homeland Security Headquarters early May 8.
Hamilton’s dismissal came a day later when he testified at the subcommittee of the House of Committee. In the remarks prepared, Hamilton told the sub -committee that FEMA “went away from its basic mission and became very developed in the federal bureaucracy.”
Hamilton added, “Instead of being the last resort, FEMA is now often used by states as a financial back stop for respondents and routine issues that should be handled locally.” “This misconception has promoted the culture of dependence, waste and inability, while delaying critical aid to Americans in real need.”
Hamilton acknowledged the establishment of Trump’s Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) review council and said he would “respect the independence of the council’s review” and “welcome his recommendations.”
The CEO of Chob is one of about a dozen members of the Greenburg Review Council.
However, according to reports, Hamilton told members of the sub -committee that he did not think that eliminating FEMA was in the best interest of the country.
Trump has been a FEMA critic. Earlier this year, while visiting the California Wild Fire and the affected areas of North Carolina floods, Trump talked about getting rid of FEMA, the organizer of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). He described the agency as “great disappointment”.

FEMA recently eliminated the building’s flexible infrastructure and communities (BRIC) program, which launched billions of dollars to divide communities for beneficial protection measures. During the testimony before the Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs hearing on May 1, the American Property Costali Insurance Association (APCIA), Senior Vice President of International, Robert Gordon, said that the industry was supported by the Industry Association.
