Samsung has unveiled his long -lasting, super -thin Galaxy S25 Edge Phone, which begins with $ 1,099.99. The company says it aims to link a thin, lightweight design with the flagship surface features. Basically, Edge Galaxy takes many excellent features from the rest of the Series and put them in the same, appealing package. I had the opportunity to check the edge before the release of May 30. This is what I got.
Design and Display: familiar, but slim
Although the S25 Edge Base Galaxy is slightly lighter than the S25, it manages to squeeze in large screen sizes of S25+, and has 200 MP camera like the S25 ultra.

The edge measure is 6.23 by 2.98 by 0.23 inches (HWD) and weighs 5.75 ounces. In addition to its thickness, it is almost the same size as S25+, which is 2.98 by 0.29 inches by 6.24, but weighs 6.70 ounces (about A full ounce). Base Galaxy S is small in 25 height (5.78 by 2.78 by 0.28 inches), but only slightly lighter to 5.71 ounces.

Since the thin pin is an important feature of the edge, it has to be compared to other thin devices. For example, the thin iPhone 16 models are 0.31 inches thick. Apple manufactures its 13 -inch iPad Pro as the most thin Apple device at 0.20 inches. They Is Skin the S25 edge, but this is not the same comparison, because the iPad Pro is a tablet. Samsung said he learned a lesson from his foldable line – a discovered galaxy z fold 6 is only 0.22 inches thick – so that the edge can be made so thin without reducing its performance.

The phone’s 6.7 -inch display Corning Gorlala Glass Ceramic 2 covers 2, which says Samsung says the corning Gorlala coach found on the S25 ultra is durable like 2, but does not contain anti -reflective coating of the S25 ultra. Like Ultra, Samsung also uses titanium frame for the edge, which is mild and hard. The button and the port layout are familiar with everyone who has used the recent Galaxy device. There is a volume rocker and power button on the right edge. A SIM card tray, USB-C port, and down firing speakers are at the bottom edge. The left edge is covered with buttons, while the top is microphone holes.

Like other S25 models, Edge’s back corning Gorlala is covered in glasses 2. It includes a two -back camera with a silver ring and a flash in the tablet -shaped module that is spread from behind. Also, like the Galaxy S series, Edge has also been ranked IP68, so it should compete with dust and water.
In my hand, the edge feels incredibly light but still well balanced. The titanium frame is easily transferred to the next and back glass, and the buttons feel high quality and click. One of the best things about the edge is what I can get on it. Since it is very thin, my hand can easily wrap around the phone to get a hard hold. My thumb can even reach the entire screen as well, which he cannot do at the Galaxy S25+.

The round corner of the S25 Edge is not made clear like the Galaxy S25+. Instead, they are a bit boxer like the S25 ultra. Despite being thin, the phone is so thick that it is comfortable in hand without digging into the palm. Edge is available in three colors: titanium jet black, titanium ichely blue, or titanium silver. These three varieties look beautiful and properly appropriate for the flagship device.

Believe it or not, use the Galaxy S25 Edge and S25+ the same display: a 6.7 -inch dynamic AMOLED 2x screen with a resolution of 3,120 pixels and 120Hz refresh rate. Edge screen looks crisp, and dynamic images are silk smooth. I brought with me an S25+, and when I held them together, I could not see any clear difference between them.
Sixty -one processor, but a small battery

For Edge Galaxy, the Qualcomm Snapdragon runs on 8 elite, which is made with 12GB of Ram, which is like other galaxy S phones. There are two storage options available: 256GB (0,099.99) or 512GB (2 1,219.99). Somehow, its vapor chamber is larger than one of the Galaxy S25+ to ensure that things are cool even when the demands are rampated.

Edge 5G (all-6GHz, C-band, and MMWave) supports connectivity to Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, and Wi-Fi 7, which equates to its stability and mostly of the premium flagship phone.
However, the S25 Edge has the smallest battery in the S200mah in the S25 Edge. The S25 has a 4,000 mAh battery, S25+ has 4,900 mAh battery, and ultra has a 5,000 mAh battery. The company says Edge has a “all -day battery life”, which is longer than S24 (which lasted 13 hours in testing for 5 minutes), but not until the S25 (which lasted for 14 hours and 15 minutes). Based on my short time with sunglasses and phone, this is the biggest error.
Edge supports rapidly charging up to 25W, as well as 15W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging (watts has not been defined, but it is probably 4.5W like other S phones). I would love to watch faster charging on the Galaxy S25+ (which offers up to 45W wired).
Camera: Low sensor, more megapixels

The S25 Edge does not end on photography hardware. 200 MPF/1.7 Main Shooter 2x Optical Quality Zoom and 10 XAI zoom (Samsung’s AI -powered digital zoom enhancement technology). Edge’s 12 MPF/2.2 ultra -wide camera can also be used for macro shots. Unlike the rest of the series, there is no telephoto lens on the edge. A 12MP F/2.2 front feeing camera is in the upper part of the display, and has a wide field of 85 degrees.

I could not test the cameras during my hand -on session, but in view of similar courage and software, I expect the rest of the edge range to produce similar standard images, especially including the Samsung’s prozol engine, which says that the skin’s heads, and the color of the skin. In addition, Samsung insists that the 200 MP sensor offers the S25 edge the same features as it is to the S25 ultra (even if the sensors are not the same).
Edge can shoot 8K video for video recording. What is more interesting is, it can shoot at 120 frames in 4K video per second and login for people who want to be flexible with color grading. So far, S25 has been the only phone that can shoot the log video.
Software: All Galaxy AI

The Galaxy S25 comes with Edge Android 15 and Samsung’s One UI7. Samsung says the full suit of Galaxy AI tools is available on the S25 Edge, so you can use a circle, image sketch, audio ezer and more to find the circular. The Settings menu uses its own boxby -powered search that understands the natural language. I told the edge, “My eyes have hurt”, and like other Sphones, it brought the relevant display settings like a comfortable shield to the eye. I look forward to assessing its full AI performance in our upcoming review.
Like the rest of the S25 line, Samsung backed the edge with the latest OS information and seven -year security patches.
Pricing and availability
Base Galaxy S 25 Edge costs $ 1,099.99 with 256GB storage, while the 512GB model is $ 1,219.99. This is between S25+ (starting at 99999.99) and S25 is between Ultra (starting 1,299.99). Considering its spirits, prices make sense. The Galaxy S25 Edge is close to S25E+ in many ways, but it has 200 MP camera sensors like the S25 Ultra, though no telephone camera and small battery compared to a phone.
In advance are now open, and Samsung is offering a free upgrade in a 512 GB model for the price of 256 GB model by May 29. The S25 Edge will start on May 30.
