Your motivations for using tech can also identify the way to develop a healthy relationship. In today’s practice, Jay Vidyarthi guides us to identify ways to establish more balance and intentions in our motivations and the use of our tech – without any crime.
Recent studies have confirmed that the permanent presence and use of tech in our lives has become a threat to our welfare at various levels. Still it’s not going anywhere – so how do we keep this tension in mind and find a balance in our relationship with technology?
Meditation teachers, mind -ing tech designers, and self-identified lover Jay Vidyarthi observed, “It is okay to enjoy technology. Tech becomes a problem when we become so connected to our lives that our lives are out of the balance-and it is a special, or even a special, or even a healthy, or even a healthy, or even a health.
In today’s practice, Jay pushes us through an ideological exercise that can help us dig and understand our motivations to use tech, while also helping us identify ways to be more deliberately about our digital use.
A meditation to clarify your motivations to use tech
After each paragraph, stop and follow the guided meditation script below. Or listen to audio practice.
- It is a thought -provoking. So choose whether you want to consider being locked in a particular currency or position with your eyes, or you want a journal instead of a journal, in which case you can capture a pen or paper or type on your computer.
- If you need a little more space to settle, look at the audio. There is never a need to hurry in such a thing, so try to find a place for your thought or journal that is silent, maybe even impressive.
- When you get ready, start thinking or writing why you are personally interested in a better relationship with technology. What is the excitement of you here? Is this a common sense? Are there specific specimens you are trying to change? Are there any special things that make you feel that you might affect the idea that you need to work on your relationship with technology? Are you probably stories you have heard in the media or pressed about technology and what is it doing to us? Are there positive experiences that keep you with technology where you find happiness or meaning or purpose that may make you get more, or may you want to go back? They may be the memories of the first avatar of technology that feel lost.
Are there positive experiences that keep you with technology where you find happiness or meaning or purpose that may make you get more, or may you want to go back?
- Consider or write how much -minded relationships with technology can have a positive impact on you and people around you, Whether it is a family member or a friend or a roommate or a fellow worker, or even a coffee shop in the Barista or a clerk on the grocery store.
- If you have a hard time getting deep answers, try to ask Why? Repeatedly do young children. This is a very powerful word. May start with you, Why am I interested in a better relationship with technology? Your brain can respond like this, I want Put less pressure. From there you can ask, Why do I want to put less pressure? Your answer may be because you want to be more and more for the people you care about. You may ask why, why, Why do I want to be more present for the people I care about? Keep walking with it, and eventually you will find yourself on some deep personal truths.
- Now, as you do it, notice that if a decision or embarrassment is coming out. If you are a journal, you can look at the page, but if you are considering, you can only consider. If a decision is being made, just let it come. So, for example, you can ask why your internal voice is criticized and heard. Like, Why do I want a healthy relationship with technology? Oh, okay, because I can’t control myself and I am addicted and destroying my life with this technology. Our inner sound can go throughout the place, as you know well. If this happens, it does not need to resist it, but do not give it any more energy. Try to be curious and try to focus on these motivations, these intentions, the answers that feel that they are encouraging positive growth.
- When we approach the end of our session here, see if you can take what you have in this practice in a simple word or phrase. If you are journaling, you can draw a large line on the page. If you are considering, you can clean your palate. Try to find something that can capture the essence of mobilizing you, you intend to have more mind -making, healthy, better relationships with technology in your life. Try to become very specific and comprehensive.
- Once you have something, make a pledge to remember or write it. After that, we left all the efforts that put it in this practice and let’s take a few moments like us. There is nothing else, yet we are not yet going to the next thing. We are enjoying this transition, this moment of emptiness and non -work.
- When you get ready, you can slowly open your eyes if you close. Increase a little or a water sip, whatever you need. And if you do not yet have, you can write the word or phrase you can, put it in a visible place, and let it be a reminder of your intentions, your motivation, your commitment to a better relationship with technology.
It is important to remember that this does not necessarily mean that the use sample is set around. It also means that you enjoy yourself enjoying the parts of the technology that you enjoy and find an authentic connection online and allow any meaning or purpose that you receive from the technology technology to completely flourish in your life. I hope it was helpful. Will meet next time.
