The area around Aspen’s historic Lift One, the original gateway to Aspen Mountain’s west side, is entering an impressive new chapter. Here, in the heart of this storied mountain town, Chalet Alpina continues to grow as a luxury residential destination, driven by five-star hospitality resort amenities and a full-service members’ club with coveted ski-in, ski-out privileges.
Designed for today’s contemporary, year-round mountain lifestyle, Chalet Alpina is a place that invites gathering and April culture. This is a rare opportunity to own a home in a central Aspen location, just a short walk from the city’s exceptional dining, shopping and cultural offerings. Along with a limited collection of 32 full-service residences ensuring privacy and security, 26 resort residences are available for shared ownership, with two, three, and four bedroom floor plans, each thoughtfully designed for flexible, hospitality-led living. A limited collection of six residences are fully owned and ultra-high-end mountain homes.
Formed with a European Alpine sensibility, Chat Alpina builds on Chat’s legacy as Aspen’s original skier to keep the city’s early ski culture at the forefront. “This project sits on storied ground, and we felt an obligation to respect that history,” says Jason Grosfeld, a Los Angeles-based lifestyle real estate company. “The architecture, textures and social spaces are all designed to rekindle the warmth and energy that has made this slope a community space for generations. With the introduction of real ski-in, ski-out access at Lift One is an amenity created for our homeowners, our members, and its core story.”

“The inspiration behind the design of Chalet Alpina takes cues from Aspen’s history, and blends a classic ski resort aesthetic with thoughtful details that convey a sense of luxury, comfort, fun and tradition,” says Martin Brudniezki, whose Impossible Studio – London was recognized for Annabelle. It is responsible for floor design.
Of the interiors of the resort residences, he notes, “Each space will flow into the next with a calm rhythm and sense of narrative. By laying out soft forms, textures drawn from the surrounding landscape, and inviting colors, the interiors and residents are told a beautiful story.”
All homeowners will enjoy access to Chalet Alpina’s resort amenities, including a rooftop pool with views of Aspen Mountain, a wellness-oriented fitness space with a dedicated recovery area, and a sophisticated lobby bar inspired by Alpine social culture. Residents also receive an invitation to Chalet Alpina membership, which provides access to the best of Aspen, while offering five distinct private venues and a curated calendar of events and bespoke services.

In addition to the space itself, members will enjoy the Elevated Ski Concierge experience, with daily nightly service that goes far beyond preparing gear, including arranging private instructors, accessing lifts, managing mountain logistics, and making sure skis are warmed, boots are warmed, and gear is waiting for the Alpine outfitter. A private terrace overlooking the elevator overlooks one. After dark, each venue reveals its own character. a supper club with live performances and a vibrant dinner scene, and an omakase speakeasy, an intimate hideaway that transports members straight to Tokyo.
Chalet Alpena will also offer two public dining venues, including a steakhouse located inside Aspen’s historic skier’s chalet. It is a famous place from the early days of the city. A second chalet will be renovated as an Aspen Ski History Museum.
“In designing Chet Alpina, we were inspired by the remarkable evolution of Aspen itself, from its early mining days to the thrill of the legendary ski races that once powered the lift,” says Grosfeld.
Prices for shared ownership resort residences start as low as $3 million. Hillside homes are offered from the mid-$30 million range.
