Mars 980 blade is a four -lane solid state drive that is running Nvme 2.0 PCIE 5.0 Bus Protocol. It comes in internal SSD standards M.2 Type -2280 “Gomestic” format. Two-sided drive (with chips of both sides) Micron B58r 232-Layer 3D TLC Nand Flash and uses one Silicon Motion SM2508 Controller, which is designed for both high efficiency and energy efficiency.
SM2508 is a relative new new controller, which is also used in the main T710 and Lexar NM1090 Pro. SM2508 has its own cache of random access memory (DRAM), unlike the so -called drama SSD controllers, which prevents their own memory cash and relies on their computer host memory buffer (HMB).

Mars 980 blades come with a thin aluminum heat sprider that can be trapped on the side with exposed chips (controller and nand flash). Spreader’s compactors allow SSD easily fit into the secondary M2 slot of Sony PlayStation 5. Just keep in mind that the PS5 PCI supports the Express 4.0, so when used in this way, the blade will return to the PCI 4.0 speed, which is at a maximum of 5,000 MBPS.

Adata covers 980 blades with a 12 -year warranty, or until you hit TBW data in writing data, whatever comes first. But the stability rating of the drive is such that unless you are writing the SSD unusually large quantities of data, it is a safe condition that the blade will go beyond the entire warranty period and beyond.
