For the second time this year, Microsoft is raising the prices of its Xbox consoles in the United States.
The company made this announcement on the support page. The Xbox series X is increasing by $ 50. Meanwhile, the Xbox Series S will soon cost $ 20. Here is a complete error:
Xbox Series S (512 GB): New $ 399.99 | Current 9 379.99 | April $ 299.99
Xbox Series S (1 TB): New 9 449.99 | Current 9 429.99 | April $ 349.99
Xbox Series X Digital: New $ 599.99 | Current 9 549.99 | April 9 449.99
Xbox Series X: New $ 649.99 | Current $ 599.99 | April $ 499.99
Xbox Series X (2 TB Galaxy Black): New $ 799 | Current $ 729.99 | April $ 599.99
The good news is that prices are not implemented by October 3, so you still have time to snatch the Xbox Console at a lower price. The support page added, “Controllers and headset prices will remain the same.”
Why another price increase? Microsoft is vague, accusing “Macro Economic Environment Changes”. However, this is happening only for US consumers, suggesting that Trump’s prices have played a role. Nico Partners’ video game analyst Daniel Ahmed blamed the tariff directly, which is currently imposing a 30 % duty on imports from China and 20 % on imports from Vietnam – two major manufacturers of video game hardware.

Microsoft did not immediately respond to a request to comment on revenue. But in the support page, the company said: “We think these changes are difficult, and that they are cautiously made. Looking forward, we keep focusing on playing more games on any screen and offering more ways to provide prices to Xbox players.”
Playstation fans have not been able to raise prices. Last month, Sony established its own addition to PS5 in the United States. Nintendo has only increased the old switch 1 console prices, not the newly released switch 2. But Ahmed says it is possible that Nintendo will eventually resort to raising prices next year to meet the revenue.

I’ve been a journalist for more than 15 years. I started my school as a reporter of schools and cities in Kansas City and joined the PCMAG in 2017, where I cover satellite Internet services, cybercularity, PC hardware and more. I am currently based in San Francisco, but earlier spent more than five years in China, covering the country’s technology sector.
Since 2020, I have covered the launch and explosive growth of SpaceX’s Star Link Satellite Internet Service, writing 600+ stories on the availability and feature launches, but also regulatory battles on the expansion of satellite tower, ASTSpace and Amazon -based Mobile and Amazon. I have combed for the latest news through FCC filing and reached California’s remote corners to test the Star Link’s cellular service.
I also cover cyber threats from Rancyware groups to the appearance of AI -based malware. Earlier this year, the FTC forced Evast to pay $ 16.5 million to secretly harvested and sell to third -party clients, as revealed in my joint. Inquest With the Mother Board
I also cover the PC graphics card market. The pandemic period’s shortage caused me to set up a camp in front of an excellent buy to get me the RTX 3000. Now I am following how President Trump’s prices will affect the industry. I am always anxious to know more, so please jump into the comments with the impression and send me indications.
