Big -tech companies may not say that AI is replacing people, but is a tech investor – and they say that the two professions should be seen in particular.
“Large companies, like AI are not replacing people,” said Victor Lazarate, general partner of the venture capital firm Benchmark, on the recent incident of the Podcast “The VC”.
“These are bulls — T.” “It is completely changing people.”
The two professions should be careful with the AI: lawyers and recruits, Lazarte said.
He explained that in the next three years, AI will be able to take care of the law, which is often the case with the recent law school graduates. To recruit, Lazar predicted that the AI will take care of the candidates to interview.
“There will be not many things that Ai cannot do,” Lazar said.

The legal industry is already using AI tools. Earlier this week, the Legal Tech Startup Labra, which supports more than 3,000 lawyers and 150 law firms, updated their AI to help every stage for legal work, from research to review. Last July, the American Bar Association lodged a Claude, Chatgup, Gemini, and Coplot, as its top four tools for AI professionals.
The AI has also significantly improved the standard of legal work. Researchers at the University of Michigan Law School have found that AI can improve that law students have done legal analysis. Studies participants found that their legal work quality with AI has improved by 28 %.
Meanwhile, legal firms are running to adopt AI. A study by Thomson’s Reuters surveyed 2,200 professionals and C suit executives globally since July 2024, and found that law firms have filed AI as their top strategic priority.

By recruiting, firms are using AI to get automatic services. Although Job Scan Research has noted that 99 % of the Fortune 500 companies use AI to filter applicants, the effect reaches far beyond the early stages of applications. The resume builder survey found that in 2024, more than 40 % of companies used AI to interview and “talk” to candidates. AI’s screening has surprised some candidates.
Meanwhile, Startup AI is busy searching for the recruitment market. Optim Higher, an AI recruitment start in which candidates meet, interviewed, and calling the schedules, collected 5 million millions of seeds last month.
Another small CAI recruitment startup, Conversai, raised $ 16 million in a series A round in January to create virtual recruits. Big Startup Merkor, who uses AI and uses AI to match candidates, collected 100 million millions in the series B round in February. Merkor counts Openi as part of his client base.
AI can replace jobs, but also has the ability to help new companies start, Lazarte said.
He predicted, “You are going to perform these trillion dollars of companies through very small teams.”
Benchmark has supported companies, including Asana, Snap and Uber.
