Important Consultation: New travel ban for H-1B visa holders
Hello sub-now we have reviewed the original text of today’s presidential announcement on the H-1B visa, which you may find here: Banning the entry of some non-refugee workers-the White House.
Here you need to know:
First of all, this announcement is formed as a travel ban. On September 21, 2025, at 12:01 at the Eastern Time (therefore, 9:01 pm Pacific time tomorrow), individuals will not be able to enter/enter the United States as H-1B unless they have an additional payment of 000 100,000.
What do you need to do:
I will update this post with a form this evening to fill people if they are currently with the H-1B visa outside the United States. We want to be able to follow with each individual and provide help and guidance as they try to return in the next 28 hours.
This announcement does not affect any other visa locations.
At present, there is more content about the interval in action on H-1B requests for individuals that are currently outside the United States, we do not translate it to extend H-1B status or immediately affect H-1B unless you are currently in the United States.
