Apple’s new iPhone air may be proud of some of the modern features, including a thin design. But the company has decided to stay with USB 2 instead of USB 3.
The iPhone Air comes with a USB-C port, but according to the specific product sheet, the connection only supports the USB 2 speed. In this way, owners will need to resolve data transfer rates that are at the top of 480Mbps with USB-C cable.

The USB 2 connection base model can also be found on iPhone 17, a trend that started with the iPhone 15, the first iPhone in the USB-C.
Fastest USB 3 connection consumers, users will need to select iPhone 17 Pro models, which can offer data transfer rate to 10 GBPS. But as before, it seems that you will need to buy your USB 3 cables to reach these speeds. Bunded USB-C cable only supports USB 2 transfer rates.
Nevertheless, Apple is bringing Bluetooth 6 to all three iPhone models, upgraded to Bluetooth 5.3. The new wireless quality promises to reduce the delay in data, while improving power efficiency, saving battery life.

All three models also have support for Wi -Fi -7, which Apple introduced in last year’s iPhone 16 models. But once again, you will need to buy a Wi -Fi -7 router and at least at home, subscribers to a fast Internet plan to take advantage of the benefits.
