Since there are already enough jumbo -sized SUVs, Audi is still preparing its largest cue model. In 2026, after several years of rumors about Luxburge from Angolstest to compete with BMW X7 and Mercedes GLS, Q9 will finally join the lineup. All four rings have certainly taken their time to enter the SUV class of the entire size, but as the proverb is, it’s not too late.
Audi’s development boss, Geoffry Gilcott told Automobile Q9 will arrive with a new Q7 next year. The latter has been going on for a decade, which has been passing through two faces to stay fresh against X5 and Gle. Both will share the premium platform combustion (PPC) with the latest A5, Q5, and A6. Similar underpanings are also expected for new Porsche’s new gas -powered mechanic, which is due to in 2028.
Although Bobcot did not go in detail about new models, PPC has been engineered to adjust petrol, diesel, light hybrid, and plugin hybrid drive trains. The hardware range also supports expansionists, though Audi has not said whether Q7 or Q9 will adopt this technology. Interestingly, there are rumors that BMW’s future X5 OD Ball I3 will resurrect the range actnder setup once used in I3 Hachback.
Q9 Vox Wagon Group Portfolio will not only have a new luxury residential room. Porsche is also working on a three -row SUV, which was initially planned as a pure EV, but Zofin House had to re -consider the project and add combustion engines with plug -in hybrid options. In the top position of red pepper, the newcomer will launch with the first gas engines, while the EV version is delayed.

If the European Union decides to ban the ban on 2035, it may be wise to re -bet the combustion engines can be wise. As it stands, no new gas or diesel cars will be sold in the middle of the next decade. However, the decision will be reviewed before the end of the year, and reports show that the plugin can pass through the hybrid cut off history.
Audi’s Arkrewal is urging the European Union to lift the ban. Mercedes CEO Ola Klenieis recently warned that the European car industry is “going at full speed against the wall” and eventually “falling”. His BMW counterpart, Oliver Zip, warned that the ban could “kill an industry.”
Hopefully, the European Union is listening.
