New York, New York – The Digital Advertising Accountability Program (DAAP) of BBB National Programs (DAAP) has issued its new compliance guidance: to ensure transparency in political advertising, to educate advertisers on the needs of transparency of online and mobile app political advertising.
The DAAP reviewed political advertisements to comply with the Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA) political advertising principles, which ordered the clear, meaningful and significant disclosure of the advertisement sponsor. Compliance guidance, which explains these principles, is designed to help political campaigns and their advertising tech partners meet notices and disclosure requirements.
The key highlights of compliance guidance include:

- Improved notice requirements: Political advertisements must include clear notes that show that they are political advertisements, using icons, symbols, or specific words.
- Political advertisement notice: Details of who pay for AD should be linked to a better notice, including the law information and withdrawal from the law.
- Emerging technologies: Special reservations for new advertising methods, such as connected TV (CTV) to ensure transparency in all digital formats.
In its role as a privacy watchdog for the DAA, the DAAPDA oversees the market to comply with the rules of itself, including political advertising principles. When it indicates non -compliance, the DAAP reported its results to the DAA and when appropriate, government officials.
