In the official X account of the BNB China Blockchain Network, about Wednesday was compromised with nearly millions of followers. The hackers used the account to spread the fashing links that targeted the cryptocurrency wallet.
Binanus founder Changping “CZ” Xiao confirmed the incident and warned his followers not to talk to malicious posts containing fashing links. “The hacker published a group of links to the fashing websites that demand to be connected to the wallet. Don’t connect your wallet,” the CZ wrote.
He added that BNB China’s security teams have notified X and they are working to suspend the account and restore access. Zhao said Talk Town applications for fashing sites have already been submitted.
A member of the BNB China team told the Quantal Graph that his team is currently investigating and will soon share more information.
Fishing links in disguise as a wallet -linked indicator
Salimist’s Chief Information Security Officer, who goes through the Handle 23 PD on X, said the attackers used a classic trick, which would change the letters in the fashing domain so that it could be justified.
23 PDS posted, “BNB China’s English Official X account has been hacked! Security Professional also suggested that the malicious domain belongs to the notorious Infant Fishing Group.
Infreeno drainer is a crypto wallet -powered software and a service platform that came around 2022 and gained notoriety in 2023. It allows its affiliates to deploy prepared fashing sites that imitate the legitimate crypto project interface.
The incident highlights the challenges in protecting the government crypto project accounts from taking over. Salimist Siso suggested that the violation raises questions about the team’s safety methods.
“The security awareness of the BNB China team should not be poor,” said 23 PDS.

CZ has warned users to carefully check domains
In his X post, Zhao advised members of the community to always check the domains, even when links are coming from official or certified social handles. “Always check the domains very carefully, even with the official X -handles. Stay safe!” He wrote.
At the time of writing, the fashing posts were no longer visible, yet it is not sure whether any user has linked his wallet or lost the funds.
