Mario Cart is one of the hottest sports of the World, but by peeling the cart customs, its axis for the open world setting, opened a massive rift for Sonic Racing: to go to the cross worlds. And Siga is determined to make every effort to defeat her cart racer by adding multiple players and cross platforms, multi -player competitions. I Sonic Racing Lee: Cross Worlds for Test Drive at Summer Game Fest, and this is a strong contender racing game of the year.
Sounds racing: Cross Worlds Deep Cart customs
The biggest difference between Sonic Racing: Cross Worlds and Mario Cart World is that the title of Sega is focused on the specialty of the cart. I’m not just talking about colors and tires. Cross Worlds introduced a gadget, which enhances your car, leading to helpful skills to bring your garbage into the race.

Each ride has a license plate with six slots where you can slot your chosen gadget. A gadget can take one, two, or three slots, so the idea is to find a mixture that connects well with character features. There is an amazing depth for people who want to be at least/more than their favorite anthropomorphic animals.
I chose the sound, a high -speed character, and he added a gadget that started it with two promotion (one slot), a gadget that improved its pace, surpassing the opponent (two slots), and a gadget that improved the acceleration (three slots). There were a lot of gadgets that I could easily do a car in my entire demo session to make a car to meet my playstyle. I imagine being lost in mourning clothing before people take part in my first race.

Game Play: It’s not Mario Cart World
Although this is not an open world like Mario Cart World, Sonic Racing: Cross Worlds puts a unique spin injection on traditional cart racing. Familiar trappings are all here, such as the ring to increase your high speed. Each Grand Prix consists of three maps, but there are stage transitions in the game.
In one -third of a course, a large color portal opens, which offers a new world and track (so its name is “Cross Worlds”). The change in the accent and the region maintains the races fast and unexpectedly. I especially liked that whatever is in the first place, sometimes it can choose which cross -world to control the Tempo. With each completion of the race, you get credit based on your performance that you can cash for new car parts.

Unlike Mario Cart World, Sonic Racing: Cross Worlds is much more aggressive on less difficulties. At the beginning of each Grand Prix, the game assigns you a competitor. Beat them all, and you can race for high -power super variations.

Only about everything that causes you to lose the ring: other players, walls, and of course. , Take a collision with the objects. The series’ trademark rubber band AI is still there. Even in the Press Demo, I was not safe from taking four items behind and knocking from the stage simply from the finish line.

Demo did not include new debuts in the Summer Game Fest, but I studied the Character screen to see who could come to the game. Including 12 Sonic characters available in the demo, I counted a total of 64 character slots. These include Hatsoon Maco (Ultra popular vocalide), Joker (from Prasanna 5), Achiban Kasoga (such as dragon), and Steve (from Mine Craft). However, I hope other classic segments will look at IPs like the previous Sonic Racing titles.
Platform and release date
What sega will do that Nintendon is not? I had Sonic Racing: There was a passionate time to play Cross World, and I couldn’t wait to see more wild track recipes. Sonic Racing: Cross Worlds Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S will be available on September 25, 2025. At the end of the year, a Nintendo Switch 2 version has been planned.
