Chicago Bears, Who? Simone Biles Steps Out To Support Another Major Windy City Team After Jonathan Owens’ Huge NFL Playoff Win

Gymnast Simone Biles is throwing herself into the Chicago lifestyle by stepping out to support one of the city’s major sports teams—just days after her husband, Jonathan Owens, and the Chicago Bears, surged to a narrow victory against the Green Bay Packers in the Wild Card round of the NFL playoffs.

Biles, 28, was on hand to cheer her spouse and his team on to a nail-biting win on Jan. 10, when she arrived at the Bears’ stadium decked out in a custom-made outfit that included a fur coat with Owens’ name, number, and photo emblazoned on it.

But, just days later, she proved that she doesn’t discriminate when it comes to her support of the Windy City’s sporting superstars, by attending a Chicago Bulls game on Jan. 13, alongside several of her friends.

Much like her outfits for Bears games, Biles pulled out all the stops for her support of the Bulls, donning a black jersey with the team’s name emblazoned across, which she paired with a long sleeved, skin-tight mini dress, as well as a pair of furry cowboy boots.

The former Olympian snapped a mirror photo of herself inside the palatial Chicago property she shares with Owens, 30, before heading out for what she branded a “gworls nightttt.”

Despite not holding the same VIP status as a team WAG, Biles was still given premier seating at the arena, sharing a second photo of herself sitting in a box at the United Center, before posing with two pals who were also decked out in Bulls-themed attire.

Biles, a longtime resident of Texas—where she owns two luxury homes—has been spending much of the past years in the Chicago area, where she has focused much of her time on supporting her husband in the final year of his contract with the Bears.

The couple, who recently completed a custom-built lakefront mansion in Spring, TX, even spent the holiday season at their Illinois abode, with Owens sneaking in some festive fun between his Dec. 20 and Dec. 28 games.

Having made it through the first playoff round with a 31-27 victory over Owners’ former team, the Packers, the Bears will now face the Los Angeles Rams, who are among the favorites to make it to this year’s Super Bowl, per NFL.com.

While the Bears are still in contention, many experts give them far less favorable odds as far as a Super Bowl appearance is concerned.

But it is not just the Super Bowl raising questions in Owens’ future—but also his continued NFL career.

The safety signed a two-year contract with the Bears in 2024 that is due to last through the remainder of the 2025 season, however long that is. After that contract ends, all signs point to him becoming a free agent, meaning he will be open to sign with any team that makes him an offer.

Owens has previously played for the Packers, as well as the Houston Texans and the Arizona Cardinals, with whom he started his professional career in 2018.

This also means there is uncertainty over Biles’ future—and whether the couple will finally be able to move into their newly-built Texas home, or whether they will head to another area in the U.S. so that her husband can continue playing.

Biles revealed in May last year that she and Owens had found a residence in Chicago, when she shared with her Instagram followers that they were car shopping for their Illinois home—although she neglected to detail whether they had purchased a property, or were renting for the year.

In November, she then announced that work had finally been completed on their lakefront mansion back home in Texas, after a five-year process.

Biles shared some insights into the complex procedure that went in to building their dream home, revealing the lengthy timeline that led to the completion of the property.

“Home building requires a lot of patience,” she wrote, while sharing a video of herself and Owens that was taken when only the framework of the home had been built.

“Started the design process in 2020 and took a year to complete,” she said of the first step they took in their homebuilding journey.

“Approvals took a white from [the] HOA; broke ground in Feb 2022; completed 11/11/25,” she added.

Biles’ noted that their wait for their dream home was made all the more painful by the fact that they had been given a much earlier estimated completion date, revealing: “They lied when they said nine months to build!”

Still, the gold medal winner was quick to voice her pride at having finally finished the mansion, writing: “Anyways proud of us. ILYSM @jowens.”

A great deal changed in the couple’s life after they broke ground on their home—with Biles going on to compete in her third Olympics two years after construction began, which some believe may well have been her final Games appearance.

She and Owens also tied the knot during that time, marrying first in an April 2023 courthouse ceremony in Texas, before going on to host a lavish celebration with their loved ones in Mexico the following month.

Owens has also made some major moves in his NFL career. When construction on the property began, he was in his final season with the Texans, before signing with the Packers for the 2023 season.

He spent just one year with the Wisconsin-based team, before signing a two-year contract with the Bears.

In addition to their new custom mansion, the couple also owns another abode in Texas—a Spring, TX, property that Biles purchased in 2020, four years after claiming her first Olympic gold.

That dwelling, which Biles has extensively renovated since moving in five years ago, served as a first marital home for the athlete and her husband, and is where they were understood to be living together while they waited for work on their custom property to be completed.

It is currently unclear whether Biles will take another shot at Olympic glory—having previously revealed to Olympics.com that she has not yet made up her mind about trying out for the 2028 team.

However, she noted that, whenever she chooses to leave gymnastics, she wants to do so on her own terms, rather than being forced to retire at a time that doesn’t feel right to her.

“I want it to be my choice when I’m done,” she said. “I don’t want the doctors to be like, ‘Hey, you can’t move on.'”

Biles added that, while she hasn’t decided whether the 2024 Paris Games were her last, she would be happy to end her career with that performance.

“I’m grateful that if this (Paris) was the end, that I got to choose my ending,” she explained.

When asked whether she would return to the sport in the hopes of securing a spot on Team USA for the 2028 Games, Biles conceded that she has left that door open.

“There’s more to it. … We’ll definitely see,” she shared.
