Belkin is also recalling its AutoTracking Stand Pro as well as two portable power banks—the Belkin Bostarge USB-C PD Power Bank 20K and the Playa USB-C PD Power Bank 20K.
In the recall notice, the company says a manufacturing defect could cause the product’s lithium-ion cell components to overheat. There has been one report of a fire-related incident in the United States and 15 reports internationally, according to notices from the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission, seen by The Verge. Two minor injuries and property damage were reported outside the US.
Belkin is offering customers a full refund or store credit for the full amount plus 20% on Belkin’s website. Customers will need to provide a valid proof of purchase or serial number.
The company recommends that consumers immediately stop using the affected products and disconnect them from any power source. Equipment should be stored in a safe, dry place. Belkin warns consumers not to put returned devices in household waste or recycling bins.
To check if a device is included in the recall, look for the model number on the back or side of the product. If your model number is MMA008, BPB002, or PB0003, you can access the recall claim form here.

We first saw Belkin’s AutoTracking Stand Pro at CES 2024. You attach the iPhone to the dock via the MagSafe connector and pair via NFC. The motorized base can then rotate 360 degrees to position you on the camera, and the motorized arm can tilt up to 90 degrees.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen Belkin have massive recalls due to overheating in its portable chargers. In November 2024, the firm recalled its BoostCharge Pro Fast Wireless Charger for the Apple Watch + Power Bank 10K due to battery issues that could cause a fire.
