On Monday, the US Attorney Office in the Central District of California said, “Crypto scammers used shell companies and US bank accounts in stolen funds before converting into a teacher (USDT).”

The guilty requests have reflected the crackdown on the US government’s crypto scams and money laundering hinges, especially those who are affiliated with the North Korean state -backed Lords Group.

Defendants, Joseph Wang, Yaching Zhang, Jose Somoriba, Sheng Hang Hang Hei and Jingling SU, contacted the victims directly through social media, messaging platforms and dating apps, engaging in the long text and calling them to invest in their confidence.

The DOJ said, “Skimmers tell the victims that their investment is appreciating the importance when in fact, these funds were stolen and not invested at all.”

The five people who proved the crime were scattered all over the United States, Spain, China and Turkey.

This comes when the US Treasury Department is trying to prevent the Huaven Group in Cambodia from accessing the US banking system, and the firm has been accused of helping North Korea’s official group laundering cryptocurrency.

Treasury’s financial crime implementation network on May 1 proposed to prohibit access to representatives or payable accounts to the Huan Group -affiliated financial institutions.

The US Treasury Secretary Scott Basant said at the time, “Like the Lands Group, the Haven Group has established itself as a malicious cyber actress”.

On May 13, Hong Group, Hong Guarantee, feels that his communication was closed on the telegram – which he relied heavily to integrate his laundering activities.

However, Crypto Analytics firm TRM Labs said it had found the Huaven Guarantee and another telegram -based guarantee service, transactions and practices between Sanbi, which suggested that it seeks a way to ignore the ban.
