Google Parents is notifying their Family Link Parents’ control by email that their children will soon be able to access Gemini AIPs on their supervised Android devices, New York Times Reports
The company says children will be able to use Gemini to work like homework or read their stories. Like your workplace for education accounts, Google says children’s data will not be used for AI training. Nevertheless, in the email, Google has warned parents that “gymnasium can make mistakes”, and kids “may face content you don’t want.”
In the case of Gemini, Google’s emailed advice states that parents should talk to their children and explain that AI is not human and should not share sensitive information with chat boot.
Children under the age of 13 will be able to enable and access Gemini on their own under the Google Family Link, designed to keep tabs on the use of their children’s device for parents, set boundaries and protect them from harmful materials. Google spokesman Carl Ryan confirmed in an email Stuffy That parents can stop access through the family link, and that “when the young man first accesses Gemini, they will get an additional information.”
