I have gone to many ships along several different cruise lines, but it was not until many trips to the Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) that I finally saw some benefits from my membership in the cruise loyalty program. I went to the Platinum Tier in the NCL’s Looking Program.
That is how the NCL has work work and how I used my benefits.
NCL Looking Earnings and Are
The cruiser earns 1 point for each cruise knight and adding additional additional points for Sweet or Haven’s booking. You can also get extra points with special offerings.
The NCL automatically enrolls passengers after its first cruise, so you don’t have to do anything to sign up.
My recent cruise on the Norwegian gateway was my seventh number in the NCL, which was in 2009. I have made points on each. Before this cruise started, I boarded 53 nights on NCL ships and earned bonus points for my two ships, so I had 81 points before traveling on the way to the NCL. After the cruise, I had 88.
It made me a member of the platinum, which is a middle -level level and where the benefits really begin to begin.
There are seven degrees of substance, which is mostly named in the name of jewelry or metals:
Ambassador: 700+ points.
At the most ambassador level, one of the benefits is a free seven -day cruise.

After a cruise, Perks Kick In, NCL Logo for Best Ship Members for Bronze Members, Ship Board Duty Free Shops for Merchandiz is a 10 % discount. This discount increases to all other levels.
On the silver level, members get discounts in coastal walks, photos and spa for some treatment during the port days. With the increase in the levels of longing, the amount of discounts increases. For example, coastal waiver is 10 % for silver, gold and platinum. 15 % for sapphire and diamond; And 20 % for the ambassador.
It is good that you can use this discount while booking online coast tours before sailing. The discount will be displayed in the shopping cart.

Apart from bronze, all levels also get an invitation to the Cocktail Party on the board.
It also has benefits such as discounted or free laundry, preferred tender tickets and free water for gold and more.
In fact, I have never received these benefits at high cost because I did not buy photos and prefer to go in the sea days instead of port days, so I didn’t get too excited while looking for the card in my cabin while explaining the benefits of ship at the gold level.
One thing that I didn’t realize on my four night’s cruise Norwegian jewel What is the fact that the longer kicks on only five nights or longer travels, so when I got a waiver on the ship, I got no benefit to being a gold -like member like water.
Platinum is growing up to
I have gone into the world of submission and now a platinum member, so this time I was excited to get the benefits cards in my cabin on the gateway.
The status upgrade means really expanded benefits that begin to increase the real cost of cost and a high experience.
Starting as Platinum status, members get:
Strawberry covered with chocolate.
Dinner for two with a bottle of wine.

These benefits are important to me.
Chocolate -covered strawberry costs about $ 25 for a plate of six, and eating at a particular restaurant can be $ 60 per person, so two meals can be cost $ 240 for two. It does not include the price of a bottle of wine in a dinner.
Sadly, there were only two strawberries on the plate that were delivered to the room, but they were very large and delicious.

The back of the curtain is $ 139 per person, and a bag of laundry is $ 34.
Only these benefits cost $ 438 (not even including wine tasting or alcohol bottle), which makes a long journey towards cruise saving. These benefits also enabled me to try for free, especially eating restaurants, which are really good in Norway.
Another advantage of being a platinum elite in Norwegian is that the ability to book entertainment, eating and shipment activities quickly. This can work because special food reservations are usually available only once on the board to book once.
Although the benefits increase at a higher level, I do not think that the preferential restaurant sitting or dinner with officers is much better than the benefits of platinum levels. Diamond members get a one -time free cabin upgrade, and ambassadors get seven days’ free cruise. Their costs may be high, but you will have to spend about a year on the plane to get a cabin upgrade and get a two -year walk to get free cruise for two years.
Use of the Benefits
Although some of the benefits are automatic, others need some action from me once on the board.
It all started with check -in on the pier when I was able to use the preferred area. I acknowledge that I was a little excited for this benefit as regular lines can be too long.
My friend and my friend were able to ignore regular check -inline and were on board 10 minutes after going through security. When we arrived, the second line was not too long, but we didn’t have to wait at all.

Some coupons were attached to the Platinum Card, which was in my room. Laundry Benefit, I had to include the coupon with a laundry bag. The coupon also had to go to my dinner with me in a special restaurant.

I wish there was a way to automatically make these things so I didn’t have to keep a coupon track and not throw them into mistake. I also had to remember to take dinner with me.

When you go to a special restaurant and check -in for your reservation, make sure to tell the hosts that you are benefiting from the subtle because the courses are different.
With a regular food package, you can order three hungry, one interior and three dessert. With a dental dinner, you can just order one hunger, one interior and a sweet.
As far as the curtains are tasting, I had to stop through the Crusan text desk to find out the details about these events.
I just stopped by the desk after a few hours of boarding the board after a tour behind the curtain, so I was unable to use this advantage. I was able to sign up for wine, but found out that it was just for one person, not both of us in the cabin. This would have been the same for this visit.
Although I understand his reasoning, it was just a little disturbing in the taste of alcohol and I was not long because it was just walking to four stations and trying to wine, not because of tasting on a table as I thought it would happen.

If two people in the same cabin have different levels of diverse, then the lower level can benefit from those who are through the cabin (like two days of meal) because those who are already determined by a high -level person. For those benefits that are per person (such as coast walk and tour), every traveler has the benefit.
The bottom line on the NCL
Although the lower levels of the NCL Looking Program do not have many real benefits, platinum levels are the place where they start to become noticeable. Free dinner and activities can make a cruise more pleasant and cost -effective.
My friend opened clean clothes after using a free bottle of wine (since we had a drink package on the board) and free laundry benefits. We both enjoyed two additional dinners at a special restaurant.
