Hollywood heavyweight Hugh Jackman has shared some very entertaining insight into Neil Diamond‘s life at his Colorado mansion, after inviting himself to spend the night with the legendary singer and his wife.

Jackman, 57, opened up about his impromptu trip to the Diamond household during an appearance on British TV host Graham Norton‘s talk show, admitting that he “imposed himself” on the singer after they connected over his new movie, “Song Sung Blue.”

In the film, Jackman and Kate Hudson, who also appeared on “The Graham Norton Show,” star as a pair of singers who form a Neil Diamond tribute band called Lightning & Thunder.

According to Jackman, Diamond was so impressed by his performance in the movie, which is due to be released on Dec. 25, that he phoned him to offer his praise for the project.

At that point, the “Wolverine” star decided to try his luck by asking to meet Diamond for a cup of tea—which ultimately ended in Jackman inviting himself over to stay with the singer, his wife, Katie, 55, and their family.

Despite the awkward way in which the overnight stay came about, when Jackman arrived at the property, hilarity ensued when Diamond asked him if he wanted to do some at-home karaoke.

“At dinner time, Neil Diamond goes, ‘Want to do some karaoke?’ I’m like, ‘Hell yeah,'” Jackman said as a photo of the two singers performing appeared on the screen.

While speaking to Graham Norton on BBC, Jackman, 57, revealed that he “imposed” himself on the Diamond family—and it resulted in plenty of fun and games. (BBC)

The actor revealed that the pair sang Diamond’s hits “Sweet Caroline” and “Can’t Help Falling in Love With You.”

Jackman then shared a “funny fact” about the Diamond household, specifically surrounding the lyrics to his beloved 1969 record “Sweet Caroline,” in which the crooner sings the words “so good,” which prompts audiences to yell back: “So good, so good.”

According to “The Greatest Showman” star, this tradition with Diamond’s performances has now become a very important part of his life at home.

“This is a true story. Anyone who says ‘so good’ in the Diamond household, two other people have to say, ‘So good, so good.’ It took me a second to work it out. Play that game at home, you’re going to realize how often you say it. It gets old real quick,” he teased.

His story was validated by his “Song Sung Blue” co-star Hudson, who confirmed that she’d also experienced a similar moment when she visited Diamond.

“It happened to me, too!” she exclaimed. “Like, I’m sitting there, I go, ‘Oh, god, this is so good,’ and you hear someone go, ‘So good, so good!’

“And then finally, I was like, ‘Do you guys say that every time?’ She’s like, ‘Oh, yeah, every time someone says, ‘So good.'”

Diamond owns two Colorado properties—a vacation property in Basalt, which is near Aspen, and a large property in Eagle, which is known as Diamond Star Lodge.

It is unclear which of his Colorado homes Jackman stayed in that night.

Jackman’s fun night in Colorado comes months after his estranged wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, officially filed for divorce, while speaking out about the “traumatic journey of betrayal” she has faced—as news emerged that the actor is preparing to move in with his new partner, Sutton Foster.

Furness, 69, filed paperwork in a New York City court through her lawyer, Elena Karabatos, according to People. It comes nearly two years after she and Jackman announced that their 27-year marriage had come to an end.

The outlet reports that Karabatos submitted details of a settlement that Jackman and her client have already reached, as well as information regarding their health care and child support. Jackman and Furness—who tied the knot in 1996 after one year of dating—have two children: son Oscar and daughter Ava.

According to the documents, the divorce was uncontested and required only a sign-off from a judge, which was officially given on June 12.

“There was some back and forth regarding this financial agreement, but in the end, [Deborra] got what she believed she deserved. Both are coming out of this financially secure,” an unnamed insider told the Daily Mail.

“They have worked out the details in advance, and everything is ironed out in terms of a settlement, alimony, and the expenses for the future of their children.”

In a statement issued to the publication, Furness made a thinly veiled dig at Jackman, voicing her sympathy for anyone who has suffered a similarly “traumatic” wound.

“My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal. It’s a profound wound that cuts deep, however I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us,” she said.

“This belief has helped me navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage. I have gained much knowledge and wisdom through this experience. Even when we are presented with apparent adversity, it is leading us to our greatest good, our true purpose.

“It can hurt, but in the long run, returning to yourself and living within your own integrity, values and boundaries is liberation and freedom.”

The news came after Australian media outlet New Idea reported that Foster and Jackman had moved into his New York City penthouse together, with an anonymous insider claiming to the publication that Furness was upset that another woman was making herself at home in the dwelling that she had “poured her soul into.”

“They’re inseparable. [Foster is] slowly migrating her things over to Hugh’s place,” the insider revealed.

The insider further claimed that Furness is worried Jackman is moving too quickly in his new romance.

“She wants him to be happy—he deserves it and so do the kids—but Hugh’s completely green when it comes to dating. She’s concerned he’s leaping into living with someone else way too soon,” the source went on.

“It’s almost unreal [for Furness] seeing Sutton reap the rewards of all those years of her supporting Hugh,” another insider said.

Although details of Furness and Jackman’s divorce agreement have not yet been made public, they have several pricey shared assets—including several homes that were purchased during their marriage.

In 2008, the couple snapped up a stunning condo in New York City’s West Village neighborhood for $21 million. The three-floor property offers 11,000 square feet of living space. It comes with five bedrooms, a spiral staircase, an exercise room, and more.

The couple listed the home in 2022 for $38.9 million after picking up a penthouse in Chelsea. According to Architectural Digest, it’s unclear whether the property was ever sold.

In 2015, Jackman and Furness purchased a 2.5-acre property in East Hampton, NY, for $3.5 million and spent six years transforming it into an opulent abode. Situated by the water, the property boasts three bedrooms, five bathrooms, and a guesthouse with a bedroom and two bathrooms.

It is unclear who will gain ownership of this dwelling after the divorce.

A year after purchasing their East Hampton home, the couple splashed out $5.9 million on a property in Australia. It is believed that Jackman will take over the three-bed, two-bath, six-balcony home following their divorce.

One year before they ended their marriage, the couple snapped up a Chelsea penthouse for $21.25 million.

It spans two floors and measures 4,700 square feet. It comes with 3,700 square feet of outdoor space.

Jackman took sole ownership of this home, which is the property that he and Foster are reportedly residing in together.

Meanwhile, Foster filed for divorce from her husband of 10 years in 2024—sending the rumor mill into overdrive with rampant speculation that she was embroiled in a romance with Jackman.
