My mother told me that of her three children, I was her best sleeper. If it was just now. Even before becoming a mother, I have struggled with sleep. My racing thoughts either stop me from falling now, or I wake up at midnight and can’t go back to sleep. Now there is an additional challenge for children to climb and wake me up on our bed.
I am a fan of tea and coffee. But due to the challenges of my sleep, I usually limit myself to two cups of coffee a day and occasionally in the afternoon to green tea. Before children, I used to drink chamomile tea to help you rest in the evening. Does lifting this habit can help my sleep?
Chamomile Tea Sleep Promotion Features
Lena Bakovich, MS, RDN, CNSC, registered dietary nutritionists specializes in intestinal health, heart disease, diabetes, weight management, oncology, unorganized food, and general health and fitness, explaining that herbs are the cause of herbs, with a great deal of cosmos. As far as we have been recognized and used by people from different races and parts of the world for hundreds of years, as far as we know.
Bakovich shared that the science behind the characteristics of chamomile sleep is that it contains an antioxidant called Apienne. Aptigen is associated with receptors in the brain, which can reduce the level of anxiety and promote relaxation. Both of these features are beneficial for gold. A limited amount of scientific research is that chamomile can be particularly beneficial for mild indoral cases.
In a study, a capsule was considered in the form of chamomile and the effect of sleeping in the nursing home. Researchers gave interference group 400 mg chamomile twice a day for four weeks. Compared to the control group, the interference group’s sleep quality was significantly better.
The science of chamomile
Chamomile contains an antioxidant called Apagenan. Aptigen is associated with receptors in the brain, which can reduce the level of anxiety and promote relaxation. Both of these features are beneficial for gold.
An organized review investigated the effects of chamomile on sleep. This shows how many times the chamomile wakes up during sleep and helps to stay asleep. However, this does not affect the age of sleep, how people work during the day and do not affect the percentage of sleep performance.
Drinking chamomile tea every night
If you are thinking of drinking chamomile tea to improve sleep, Bakovic recommends considering the following:
- Permanent temperament: When eaten as usual before going to bed, the effect of tea relaxation and sleep is more likely.
- TimeAbout 30 minutes before bedtime, drinking chamomile tea is suggested to be the best time to help with the effects of sleep enhanced.
- Caffeine contentCarefully check the nutritional facts label to ensure that the tea is really herbs and caffeine free. Caffeines eaten near bedtime can reduce sleep quality, contrary to the desired effects.
- Dosage: One tea bag is a good principle of water per cup of water. As an alternative, one to two teaspoons in a cup of water also work similarly.
- Preparation: Allowing tea to stand for at least five minutes increases the properties of softening and sleeping. A maximum tea cannot provide the same benefits.
Day 1
It’s Monday evening and I am tired. I come down to make children sleep and prepare tea. I use boiled water from a kettle to drink dry chamomile flowers. It is smelling. I wait five minutes to see the tea. My cup is hot, and it feels amazing in my hands. I sit on the sofa with it and stream the cooking show. The host is making a chicken pot pie, and I feel really comfortable and comfortable before going to bed at 10 o’clock.
Day 2
It’s 7:00 in the morning and I’m feeling very refreshing. I did not interfere with sleep, and I had no problem sleeping last night. I was afraid that drinking tea would cause the bathroom in the middle of the night. However, this did not happen. I think it helped to restrict it to a cup. My son is sleeping right now, and he has not climbed to our bed, which is rare. It’s a school day, so it will be busy. However, until 7:30 pm, I still encourage a little.
When I read the story of the last time of sleeping to my children, I remember my routine. I am desperate to do so after children’s sleep. I use a mug last night. It was the gift of my parents when they went to Alaska’s cruise 10 years ago. I am studying it for waiting for my tea. This is the first time I saw that it had a wolf with Northern Lights. What a moment of mind.
Day 3
This is another comfortable night of sleep. I am pleasant. I literally went to bed at 11pm, fell asleep and woke up at 7:00 in the morning. I had a full 8 hours of sleep. I open the blinds. The sun is out and I’m enjoying how it feels on my face. Children go to school, and I start writing. I have sent several emails and outline an article before 10am. I’m on a role. The day runs easily until the children come home.
My son has a lesson of swimming, and my daughter has to come with me because there is an unexpected exhibition for my husband’s list. My son does not want her to come in front of her, and this is a war that is coming out of the door. We come home, but my husband is still not back, so I’m left to leave my own dinner. This is chaos. My son does not want to eat his rice, and he is going around the house that is throwing toys. I’m trying to boil pasta for it.
My husband arrives home over time for bedtime routines. I am extra fermented and irritated. I make my tea, but forget about it because I’m on my phone. When I remember, the tea is no longer hot. I drink it quickly and go back to scrolling.
Day 4
I wake up at 6:00 in the morning because my son is examining the body. She is desperate to start the day. I am bad and in a terrible mood. I couldn’t sleep last night because I was slightly angry with my husband. In my mind, I know that I do not have a mistake in leaving with children unexpectedly, but I’m worried about the whole situation. I also feel guilty to scream children. I tell myself that the past is the past. A bad day doesn’t make me a bad mother.
The rest of the day is relatively unacceptable. Until evening, I am more myself. Children go to bed. This time I am mentally able to prepare and enjoy my tea. It’s raining outside. The sound of rain on the ceiling is very calm and peaceful. I went to bed at eleven o’clock.
Day 5
I wake up at 6:45 am. My son crawled on our bed last night and awakened me, but I soon managed to sleep. My energy levels are normal. I’m not tired, but I’m not a PP. I am satisfied and resting.
The day was not so busy. My husband probably felt my slightest angry with her, so she picked up the slack and had a routine of dinner with the children when I was bathing. I make my tea, and once again, I am able to enjoy it properly when streaming a kitchen show. This time, the host is making Crook Monsoor. It brings me back to our Paris Trip many years ago.
Day 6
I wake up after 7:35 am. I had about 9 9 hours of sleep, which is very little for me. I went to the bathroom once in the middle of the night, around 3am. However, I fell asleep immediately after I returned to bed. This is Saturday; When I go to the kitchen, the kids are still sleeping. There is a peace in the air. This is a day full of activities and social events. Until evening, I am extremely overwhelmed and tired. I make my tea and finish it in three big gulps before going to bed at 11:30 pm.
Day 7
It’s barely 6:00 am and I’m already ready. The room was very hot. I had to get up around 2am to open the window. I couldn’t sleep right now. Then I had to use the bathroom. I don’t feel like I’m sleeping last night. I’m tired, but I can’t be calm. Children are sleeping right now. My husband is quietly nervous. My mind is racing. I start thinking about what to do today, and that the night before. I want to go back to sleep, but I can’t. I get up after 15 minutes, and the day drones are continued.
Techways
It was not so difficult to stay according to my tea routines for the whole week. Overall, I experienced a slight improvement in my sleep. I found a warm cup of tea. He also occupied my hands and to some extent stopped me from going to my phone.
Every evening I was waiting for my tea and look mentally. I think the routine and rituals of enjoying tea have helped my sleep more than medicinal properties. Two days when I was in a hurry and didn’t have enough time to sit and relax when I didn’t sleep.
Should you drink chamomile tea for better sleep?
Annie Miller, an LCSW-C, therapist and DC metro therapy owner, who specializes in chronic pain, insomnia, anxiety and trauma, says that chamomile tea is often recommended as a natural sleep aid. There is some evidence to support its calm effects. However, its effects are generally unlikely to solve the problems of sleep and sleep itself.
Design your behavioral sleep cue
Meridith Braoderick, MD, sleep neurologist and a member of the Ozlo Sleep Medical Advisory Board, explained that whatever sleep you are prepared for sleeping sleep can be a strong hint for sleep.
Annie Miller, LCSW-C
I suggest that chamomile tea is to be seen as a small piece of night, not stand -fix. Let it be part of a permanent air below a permanent air in one or two hours before bed
-Aini Miller, LCSW-C
“(Sleeping your behavior) can have a cup of tea, (listening to calm voices), or a particular pillow.” This aspect of sleep training “is fun because we can make our indicators almost anything that we want to make them, though they need to become things that promote sleep and rest in this individual.”
Create a ritual of wetting
Miller says the rituals with tea can be as powerful, if not more than tea. When you repeat a calm habit before bed, such as drinking chamomile tea, it can cause conditional reactions to the brain, indicating safety and comfort. It is especially helpful for people whose minds are associated with sleeping stress or racing ideas.
Miller advised that “I suggest to see chamomile tea as a small piece of night, not stand -fix. Let it become part of the air in an hour or two before bed, ideally, reading activities such as reading, journaling, or calm shows,” said Miller.
Solve the root problems affecting sleep
Miller shares more than sleep thoughts and behaviors that you use. For example, if someone drinks a chamomile tea but then in bed worrying if he will fall asleep, it can eliminate the calm effects of anxiety tea.
Miller advises, “Permanent temperament, nervous system regulation, and changing your relationship with your sleep is much more efficient than any product.”
