The US Environmental Protection Agency announced a settlement for the alleged violations of the Clean Air Act with Nalco Production LLC and Nalco Company LLC. Companies manufacture polymer compound chemicals at their convenience, 6216 W66th in Chicago, Illinois. Companies will pay 1 401,300 in fines.

The EPA alleges that companies violate the requirements of preventing and implementing the risk diagnosis, providing process protection information, securing operating procedures or failing to prevent chemical accidents from time to time. The EPA has also alleged that the companies have violated the requirements of investigating the incident and promoting risk management projects.

In addition to financial fines, companies will inspect their ventilation system and pressure relief valves and add additional sensors. They will update records methods, including training materials for maintenance staff, and a revised procedure to investigate the incident.
