Kathy Cherry knows what he takes from building a house. The architect and interior designer is the founder of Arguvani Cherry Architects and Interiors, a firm that works on mid -Atlantic and Southeast Plans, which, from imagining a structure to fitting and the building, is offered to furnishings after completion. So when Cherry and her husband Mike decided to build their second home in the Blue Raj mountains near the city of Virginia, she knew exactly what she wanted.
The couple is in their 60s and 70s, and they wanted their second residence to work as a comfortable place where they could set their lives and welcome their children and one day, grandchildren. This is not the case in their main home in Maryland, which is sitting on the natural historical registry and has small rooms associated with tight, steep stairs. Their new abode, despite having two floors, has a step within it, so neither adults nor children need to worry about falling.

The food in the kitchen is alive with the sunny casework.

Another priority for the new losers of cherries was to emphasize the ideas and natural light, which is why they are abundant in their mountains, each vegetation and trees reduce rolling landscapes everywhere. The floor -from -roofed windows offer a landscape offering, as is enough exterior space on both Patos and the deck, depending on what level you are enjoying.

There are two bedrooms and two baths (as well as one powder room and three car garage) and another bedroom and bath (and the other powder room) on the upper level. A guest house above the garage includes two more gold areas and two bathrooms. Best of all, for those who need a little quiet time, all areas can be closed to each other, which can allow complete privacy in groups.

Even one of a quiet bathrooms plays an incredible mountainous sight.

To make the house a house, Cherry has added selected pieces from his trip over the past few decades, which includes a complex wood piece from a piece of wood to the dining room and in the room, from the light fixtures hanging in the room. Rugs and throws through bright popes, as well as by marigold cabinets in the kitchen of the spacious country. And, when the arrival and going of many pets, Cherry also thought about four -foot residents and guests. Most furniture is manufactured in friendly fabric for dogs, without compromised design.
