Your iPhone is ready to download iOS 26.3, which includes a selection of new features, though not as many as recent versions of Apple software. Other Apple devices, such as the Mac, iPad, Apple Watch, TV, and Vision headsets, are also receiving updates, but many are limited to bug fixes and security improvements.
On iPhone and iPad, iOS 26.3 and iPadOS 26.3 bring a tool to easily migrate your hardware to an Android device. It’s called Transfer in Android, and you’ll find it in the Settings app. It lets you pair your iPhone or iPad with the new Android to wirelessly transfer apps, photos, messages, and more.
Everything won’t be transferred, including health data and accessories you’ve previously connected to. Nevertheless, this new feature makes switching to different operating systems easier than ever.
If you plan to stick with iPhone, Apple has changed its wallpaper categories, splitting them into astronomy and weather sections. The Weather section now offers several new options to better customize your lock screen, including more widget layouts and font choices.
Select iPhones also get a new feature called Limit Precise Location, which gives you more control over what information you share with your cellular network. The idea is that you can give a broader location instead of an exact address, without losing benefits like emergency responders being able to find your location.
The feature first rolls out on cellular versions of the iPhone Air, iPhone 16e, and iPad Pro M5. This is not the case on other modern Apple devices, as they require an Apple C1 or C1X modem to function.
Compatibility is even more limited, as each carrier must adapt to support the feature. So far, none of the big three have confirmed plans to support the feature, with only Boost Mobile offering it at launch.
You’ll need an iPhone 11 or later to run iOS 26.3, but if you’re already running an older version of iOS 26, you can download it now. To do this, go to Settings > General > Software update And find the latest version.

Those in the EU were expecting access to two new features: notification forwarding to help your device work with third-party wearables, and proximity pairing to help connect faster.
It’s not in the final update, so Apple can wait until iOS 26.4 to roll out both. Even when it does, it’s highly unlikely that Apple will bring these features to the US, as it’s only a European requirement.
The brand also introduced new updates to its other products including macOS 26.3, watchOS 26.3, tvOS 26.3, and visionOS 26.3. So far, these updates don’t feature any new features, though each promises performance and stability improvements.
