Some unfortunate users are looking for scratches on the back of their new iPhone 17s.

According to Bloomberg, Apple Stores from New York and Hong Kong to Shanghai and London appears to be scratches on the deep blue version of the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max. Meanwhile, the Black iPhone is allegedly abusing the air, while the magnetic megasaf charger can sometimes leave a circular mark on the back of the iPhone 17 Pro.

Social media reports have surfaced that these claims independently backed up, users take on a platform -like platform to give their anger about the condition of their devices. Apple has not yet officially commented on these reports or what could cause the problem.

A user called the new iPhone air “literally scratch magnet”. Another called the issue “Scratch Gate”, “The trend was disappointing,” compared the flexibility of the iPhone 17 negatively with its old iPhone 13. Another also published a screen cap for the iPhone 17 Pro Max Deep Blue, canceling his $ 1,500 order. Meanwhile, many other users are advising their peers to make sure they are using the phone case.

Bloomberg’s Mark Gorman has attributed the issues found in various forms of 17 Pro’s dark blue to its “inodled” aluminum frame. Recent pro models have used titanium, which is more durable than other metals such as steel or aluminum, though it can run warm. In the past years, the Dark Aluminum iPhone models, such as the 2022 iPhone 14, had a similar problem, Gorman said. He thinks that this is why the iPhone 17 has no black version.
