Former NBA sharpshooter JJ Redick turned head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers has put his Brooklyn penthouse back on the market. Property records show that the 3,000-square-foot duplex in Dumbo was originally purchased by Reddick and his wife, Chelsea Kilgore, in 2017 for just over $6 million. Atop a seven-story converted warehouse designed by ODA, the home includes four bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms, along with 2,500 square feet of landscaped terraces that wrap around both floors.
What began as a pied-terre evolved into a full-time family residence through a comprehensive renovation by designer Michael Edus, featuring Architectural Digest In 2019 The couple tried a refined European-inspired aesthetic, transforming an industrial loft into a classic, highly detailed space.

White oak can be matched with herringbone floorboards as well as glass-trimmed pocket doors, brass fixtures, French moldings, and graceful arches. The centerpiece is a custom Aegean blue kitchen, accented with bronze accents and Calacatta marble countertops from top to bottom, with a hidden, James Bond-style TV from the family room seamlessly emerging from cabinetry at the touch of a button.
On the upper level the primary suite is furnished with a mirrored dressing room and a bathroom surrounded by Venetian plaster walls. Two additional bedrooms, including one set up as a study, open onto the upper terrace with sunset views, while the fourth bedroom sports a full en-suite bath and walk-in closet. Penthouse terraces, designed in conjunction with Gunn Landscape Architecture, offer expansive living spaces with fully equipped outdoor kitchens. “For me it came down to outdoor space,” Reddick said. ad. “I wanted a real patio, not a Juliet balcony.”

The building’s 75 units offer a host of amenities, including a double-height lobby, 24-hour concierge, fitness and yoga facilities, a residents’ lounge, landscaped courtyard and rooftop terrace. The penthouse has been on the market before: first listed in 2021 for $8.5 million, then down to $7 million in 2022. It’s now asking $6.2 million, represented by Kimpel’s Rachel Greenstein.
Reddick, 41, starred at Duke University before playing 15 seasons in the NBA and earning a reputation as a three-point specialist. He later served as an analyst before taking the helm as the Lakers’ head coach in 2024.
