The next generation of Lazara is here.
The Florida-based company has just unveiled its new LMY 165, an aptly named 165-foot superyacht built from steel and aluminum to excel on the seas.
And the show off begins with the superyacht’s smooth, elongated profile, giving the vessel a more sculptural appearance with decorative glass acting as a key accent. The design continues across all three of its decks, extending to the Beach Club, which is home to fold-out wings for more lounging space on board. The large beach club also features an integrated rectangular swimming pool surrounded by plush couches and sunpads, turning it into a prime gathering space on the 165-footer. Heading aft, you’ll find a spacious outdoor dining area and, on the upper deck, a circular Jacuzzi; Also, yet another sunpad sits to the right on the bow.

Inside, meanwhile, the LMY 165 offers six staterooms for up to 12 guests, including a full-beam owner’s suite that offers plenty of privacy. There is also room for nine crew on board in five cabins. Other details on the interior are scant (for now), but Lazzara says the focus on the plane isn’t about extravagance, but rather on design continuity everywhere on the new plane — and there’s really plenty of room for air, too.
In terms of grunt, Lazzara has equipped its new vessel with a pair of MAN/Caterpillar 1,400 hp engines. All that power allows the superyacht to cruise at a top speed of 15 knots or a cool 12 knots. LMY is also home to a patented Sea Chest System, which moves all seawater intake and exhaust systems into a single component, resulting in easier service and improved hydrodynamic performance, according to the brand.
Lazzara has many other greats in his arsenal as well. Its limited edition LSX 67, for one, comes with a one-of-a-kind owner’s cabin with a private terrace. Her deck is also lined with plenty of U-shaped sofas and sunpads, so guests can relax in luxury — just like the larger LMY 165.
