A man convicted of defrauding workers at three insurance agencies in Warner Robins, Georgia has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.
Demarcus Tyrell Mann, 30, pleaded guilty but mentally ill after he was arrested in October 2024 on charges of public indecency. He allegedly walked into three different insurance agencies in the central Georgia city, spoke to employees, then exposed himself, according to local news and court records.
Each time, he slipped away before authorities arrived. He was later arrested. Court records show the man had been convicted of similar offenses at least three times.
“Mr. Mann was not deterred by prior convictions, and his conduct escalated into a pattern of predatory behavior that posed a real threat to the safety and sense of security of people in Houston County,” the county district attorney said in a statement, according to the Telegraph newspaper.
The judge sentenced Mann to the same prison term as determined by the Department of Corrections, and noted that he must undergo mental health treatment after his release. The victims were named in court documents but the insurance agencies were not.
