As Mangusta recently observed, three is indeed a trend.
The Italian yacht builder has just sold its third Oceano 52, a 170-foot steel and aluminum superyacht that offers even more open space than a typical vessel of its size. To bring the project to life, Mangusta’s parent company Overmarine worked with Alberto Mancini Design to ensure that the superyacht is a true way to live indoor-outdoor living.
And the owner can choose to enjoy their new vessel however they want, thanks to the Oceano 52’s customizable design. For this 170 footer, they chose to have two guest cabins on the bow. That means the owner’s suite gets a completely custom design with floor-to-ceiling windows that offer 180-degree ocean views—and they can even enjoy a private terrace with an infinity pool. A further three accommodations will be placed on the lower deck, one of which will be a full-beam VIP cabin.
As for the exterior, the Ocean 52 is home to fairly clean lines, with a spacious beach club at the rear. The yard plans to deliver the superyacht in late 2028, when it will begin cruising the Mediterranean as a private vessel. As for its sister, the first Oceanco 52 was taken in October 2025. For this vessel, the owner opted for a slightly different layout, with a fitness area on the main deck and two VIP cabins, one serving as an office. Although that first vessel will also be home to an owner’s suite with a private terrace and pool.

“The sale of three Mangusta Oceano 52 units in quick succession confirms the incredible appeal of an innovative project that is able to go beyond the traditional limits of the sub-500 GT segment,” said the yard’s sales manager Ivan Adzic in a press statement. “This is a yacht that offers owners the lifestyle, volume and materials normally found on much larger yachts. This unit was purchased by European owners who were already Mangusta clients, and that makes us particularly proud. Their first experience with our ultra-small yachts convinced them to be part of the Mangusta family.”
The Mongoose family has also grown a bit of late. The yard has just unveiled its new GranSport 38, a sporty superyacht that spans 124 feet. The launch features an asymmetrical design on its two decks, as well as an infinity pool at the bow and a two-level beach club.
