A German tuner just unveiled a modified Audi RS capable of making over 1,100 horsepower, or more than you need.
MTM’s Panjaya GT is a darkly painted station wagon menace hiding the power of a supercar under its hood, though the car’s wheels and general demeanor do more than let it on.
The Audi RS6 was already the marque’s most powerful car, making 621 horsepower from its twin-turbo V8 engine, but the Pangea GT nearly doubles that number, making 1,100 horsepower from its 4.4-liter twin-turbo V-8 engine. It’s all thanks to tuning, which means the Pangea GT probably won’t make it to a million miles, or 100,000, but it’s here for a good while, not long. The Audi RS6 Avant is a family car with extra fun, while the Pangea GT is for brutality.
The wheels are 22 inches, the transmission is an 8-speed automatic, and power is sent to all four wheels. The stance has also been reduced. There’s plenty of carbon on the outside and inside, and Alcantara on the interior as well. Racing seats keep your body secure for high-speed cornering. MTM says it wants the Pangea GT to be “addictive” to drive.

Time on the track can do that. MTM says the car can hit 62 mph in less than 2.6 seconds with a top speed of at least 217 mph. Those numbers compare to a zero-to-60 time of 3.3 seconds on the Audi RS, and a top speed of 190 mph.
MTM will build just 25 examples of the Pangea GT, which it says was conceived, developed and designed in Switzerland, which could give things an extra air of precision. Tuner hasn’t announced a price, but a regular Audi RS Avant starts around $128,000, and it wouldn’t be surprising if the Pengi GT costs at least a quarter of a million dollars or more.
A superheated station wagon like the Pangea GT isn’t uncommon on European tracks, but it would make a more sophisticated choice for a stateside hobby, one owner might tell fascinated onlookers it’s one of only 25, and they wouldn’t wonder why.
