Reports of the scorpion’s 2025 legal consumer trends reveals why the pace of traditional references, digital reputation, and online reviews are now much more than traditional references.
Salt Lake City/PR New York – Scarpian, a leading provider for digital marketing and technology solutions, released a report on his 2025 legal consumer trends, in which a deep dive was presented to how legal consumers choose which law firms should be hired and what to remove them. Based on the responses of 3,000 US consumers, the report reveals how legal clients are looking for and what law firms should do to stay competitive.
Today’s legal clients are not just looking for a recommendation. They are confirming it. According to the report, about 60 % of users say online reviews now weigh more than words, and more than half of four stars refuse to consider a firm. The speed is just that: 72 % of potential clients will move forward if they do not hear within 24 hours.
“References can take you notice, but search results, reviews and client experience stop the contract,” said Jamie Adams, the chief revenue officer of the scorpion. “Legal firms that are unable to be easily found, reliable and are being filtered fast to respond before they know that someone is considering them.”
This report also indicates increasing expectations around technology and communication. More than half of users will not hire a firm that lacks online chat. And 49 % say that the neglected social media is a red flag, especially in General X and the old settlements. Meanwhile, 61 % are open using AI tools for their lawyer until the human relationship remains intact.
Adams said, “Clients no longer separate your intake experience from your legal skills. This is all part of the same decision.” “If your website is difficult to use or your follow -up is slow, they assume that the rest will also have experience.”
The scorpion’s 2025 report makes it clear that to compete, law firms should now work like modern service providers: easy to find, fast to respond, and digitally reliable.

Surveys procedures
