According to a thread of the Rocko issue tracking board, Disney Plus is investigating the user reports of washed colors when streaming HDR content. However, it seems that this problem goes beyond that, which affects almost any app for Roku TV, suggesting user comments on the thread last week. It seems that this problem is linked to the current Roco Software Update.
In a updated from Thursday, a community moderator named Rocumanuel D writes that the company “Disney Plus is investigating HDR content that was washed after recent refreshing,” and asked members of the community to share what material they are affected by the content.
The first several comments only report the issue in Disney Plus, and only in TCL TV, saying that the app menus and those colors are fine in non -HDR content. But as a user shows the Disney Plus Show’s aforementioned photos Ander Taken from two different TVs, usually dynamic colors have taken on a brown yellow instead.
Later comments report these problems with YouTube TV, Netflix, Apple TV Plus, Amazon Prime Video, and others. One said that he saw the issue from his House Brand Rocked TV instead of the TCL model. The same person reported the HDR work on HDMI from his PS5, while another said that his 4K Blue -Ray Player’s signal looks good, which means that the issue is limited to streaming rather than any deep TV firmware problems. People in the thread said their TV – Heson and TCL – Roco Software were on version 14.5.
While watching HDR content on a TV, washed or flat colors can already become a problem that is not so bright to produce good HDR image-this is why I diverted this feature from old, cheap TCL rooko TV which I owned once. But some of these reports have been explained, when the HDR continues, Roku brutally produced almost black and white photos. It is unclear how wide the problem is, but the recent reddates are threads that are in accordance with the bill, which mentions the gray or black and white image that does not affect the streaming of the app men.
