Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have set the rumor mill all abuzz yet again after new reports emerged about the happy couple’s wedding plans—with sources claiming that the chart-topper has paid off another bride in order to secure her dream Rhode Island venue.
Weeks after it was claimed that Swift, 35, and Kelce, 36, were planning to tie the knot at a historic Gilded Age mansion near the singer’s $18 million Watch Hill, RI, vacation home, insiders have now alleged that the duo have, in fact, opted for a different venue even closer to the pop star’s beloved property.
According to Page Six, Swift and Kelce are planning to wed on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the Ocean House resort in Westerly, RI, having offered a very hefty sum to a couple who had already booked the venue for that date in a bid to secure it for themselves.
Insiders told the outlet that Swift and Kelce have wanted to tie the knot at the Rhode Island venue, which is just steps away from the singer’s Rhode Island home, for quite some time.
The couple reportedly made the decision to pivot locations after realizing that they wanted to invite more guests than they had initially planned for—pushing the total number of invitees to more than their previously chosen location could accommodate.
Luckily, Ocean House has ample room for the couple and their many celebrity guests—with reports suggesting that everyone from Selena Gomez and Gigi Hadid to Patrick Mahomes and Cara Delevingne will attend.
The iconic property comes complete with 49 guest rooms, 20 suites, a slew of private terraces, private pools, hot tubs, and more.
There is also a private white-sand beach that offers surfing, kayaking, and other water activities.
The reports of a new location come after rumors circulated on social media that Swift and Kelce had paid another engaged couple to give up their June 13th booking at The Breakers mansion just a few miles away.
“An East Coast woman was planning on getting married somewhere this coming summer, right?” podcast host Fiona Shea recounted in a recent video. “She was reached out to by the establishment where she’s having her wedding and they said, ‘Hey, would you be willing to actually change the date of your wedding?’
“She said, ‘F–k no.’ And they said, ‘This client is willing to pay for your wedding and honeymoon if you change the date of your wedding, because she needs this.’ And this is allegedly Taylor Swift.”
June 13 is a day that would likely hold particular significance for Swift, who was born on Dec. 13 and has always considered the date her lucky number.
Meanwhile, the rumored venue, the iconic Breakers mansion in Newport, RI, also holds sentimental value for the pop star who owns her own historic Rhode Island abode, which she has long used as a sanctuary when she needs to escape the furious scrutiny brought on by her global fame.
Indeed, the property holds such a special place in her heart that it was quickly assumed she and Kelce would tie the knot in close proximity to the Watch Hill home, if not at the dwelling itself.
Instead, as first reported by the Daily Mail, focus has now turned to the Gilded Age estate that is located about an hour away from Swift’s private Rhode Island residence and that has long been regarded as one of the most spectacular estates on the East Coast.
The extravagant abode features soaring 50-foot ceilings, Italian-style gardens, and Baccarat crystal chandeliers so heavy they had to be hung from steel beams. And that’s just the start of the lavish wonders within the historic dwelling.
The 70-room mansion dates back to 1895, when it was built for business magnate Cornelius Vanderbilt II, who was one of the most prominent members of high society during that era.
The home features the finest American and European craftsmanship, views of the sea, and modern technology, all combined to create the ideal setting for “luxurious living and entertaining.”
The mansion was built in the two-year span from 1893 to 1895 to replace a smaller, wooden house that had been destroyed by a devastating fire.
Preservation Society of Newport County spokesperson Gary Ruff has also vehemently denied speculation that Swift and Kelce have chosen The Breakers as their venue, saying in a statement: “Taylor Swift is not getting married at The Breakers, or any other property the society runs.”
It was previously revealed that the couple was in a “hurry” to tie the knot and have children.
“They are getting married next summer in Rhode Island. She is in a hurry to have children,” a source previously told Page Six.
It comes as no surprise that Swift and Kelce may tie the knot in Rhode Island, where the singer already holds a glamorous property, which she has long used as a sanctuary when she needs to take a break from her busy career.
The chart-topper certainly has plenty of experience hosting her A-list friends at the abode, having held a now-famous Fourth of July gathering at the property for years.
The summertime holiday has become synonymous with Swift’s iconic celebrity gatherings at her abode in Rhode Island, where guests have included Hadid, Gomez, Delevingne, and Blake Lively.
Beginning in 2013, the year that she purchased her Watch Hill dwelling for $17.75 million, Swift has gathered some of her nearest and dearest at the property to mark the patriotic holiday in true celebrity style.
Though she has taken a few years off from her hosting duties—namely when she dated British actor Joe Alwyn from 2017 until 2023—the singer’s parties have become one of Hollywood’s most talked-about A-list gatherings.
The residence—which is located in the exclusive enclave of Watch Hill in Westerly and is known locally as “Holiday House”—currently sprawls across 11,000 square feet and features seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms.
However, it was revealed at the start of the year that Swift was carrying out some extensive renovations that will see the property outfitted with an additional bedroom, while one of the existing rooms will be turned into an “enlarged bedroom suite,” according to the planning application.
In total, the project will add 400 square feet to the property.
Swift previously revealed that she has already pictured her life with Kelce in her track titled, “Wi$h Li$t,” confessing that the NFL pro has left her envisioning what kind of mom she would be to a “whole block” of kids.
She sings, “I just want you/Have a couple of kids, got the whole block lookin’ like you/Got me dreaming about a driveway with a basketball hoop.”
“I made wishes on all of the stars/Please God, bring a best friend who I think is hot,” she added in the upbeat track.
Swift made several references to the football star in other tracks, even giving fans a glimpse into a more intimate part of their relationship.
“Honey, I’m home, we could play house/We can bed down, pick me up/Who’s the baddest in the land/What’s the plan?/You could be my forever night stand,” she belted in another hit, “Honey.”
In “Fate of Ophelia,” she sang, “You dug me out of my grave and saved my heart from the fate of Ophelia/Keep it one hundred on the land (Land), thе sea (The sea), the sky/Pledge allegiance to your hands, your team, your vibes/Don’t care where the hell you’ve been (Been) ’cause now (Now), you’re mine.”
And, Swift even admitted that tying the knot didn’t cross her mind before she met Kelce, confessing in her hit “Eldest Daughter” that she “didn’t believe in marriage.”
Hours after they revealed their engagement, Kelce’s father, Ed, confessed that the couple had been engaged for “two weeks” but had been keeping it a secret, before revealing that Kelce had to assure an “antsy” Swift that the proposal was going to happen soon.
